While John was resting in the grass, a lady far away in the distance began walking towards his direction, but only as if to pass by. She was dressed in a cheaply made cloak and maiden dress made of rags, as she carried a basket around her right arm with items inside. It seemed as though she had been grocery shopping or picking fruits, and was just on her way home. She was the most beautiful woman with big deep brown glistening eyes, long and flowing brown locs, and youthful brown skin. She sang a song, amusing herself. John awakened to her beautiful voice.
In dismay, he ran to the stream and forcibly threw his head into the water continuously. His throat was in pain again. His face was bumpy again, but this time it was in even more extreme pain, and his lips were cracking into pieces. He threw his entire body into the water, though his attempts to help himself failed. The pain became unbearable. He screamed at the top of his lungs, and the rest of his brown skin was slowly turning purple. He continued to scream, “Pain! Pain! Excruciating!”
The screams sounded as if someone was in terror. His screaming was so loud that it startled the lady that was very far away. She came skipping towards him. She witnessed his skin changing colors, as he screamed and rolled on the ground in pain.
In a sweet and gentle voice, the lady said, “Are you alright, young, handsome fellow.”
“I just want the pain to end,” John replied. “I want to be normal again. John rolled and rolled on the ground, until he bumped into his jacket-made tote bag. All of the sparkling purple oranges fell out and rolled around in the grass. The lady noticed.
“I can turn you back to normal,” the lady chuckled. The chuckle sounded weird and creepy.
“How? Please help me. I will do anything.”
Underneath the bumpy and purple skin, the lady noticed how handsome John was. He was young, fit, and a nice looking young man.
“Alright. I will turn you back to normal,” she chuckled again. “... but, you must give me a kiss, just one simple kiss, and make me the happiest lady on Earth.”
From a distance, the lady appeared to be very attractive, and John was also fond of her beautiful voice. Her eyes sparkled, her hair flowed in the wind, and her feet gently tapped on the ground. She grabbed the tips of her fingers, and twirled her feet on the ground, as if innocent. So, John puckered his lips. The lady puckered her lips, and walked towards John. The closer she approached him, he noticed that her supposed beauty was fading. She began to appear very old and ugly. Her brown skin magically turned gray and wrinkly. Her brown locs unbelievably turned very thin and gray. The closer she got to him, the uglier she became. She had transformed, and was no longer a recognizable beauty. The animals ran away, frightened by the woman's appearance. He attempted to resist her, but she got closer and closer. He continued to resist her coming on to him.
“...but I love you so much. Don’t you love me too?” She proclaimed her love for him, until she eventually gave up out of frustration. She dropped her basket and grabbed the collar of his shirt, jerked him towards her face, and yelled loudly, “why won’t you kiss me!”
“You are older than a thousand years old,” John replied. “You are so ugly. You are the ugliest hag I have ever laid eyes on. Why did you look so beautiful from a far?”
“You stupid fool,” she growled at John. “You stupid fool!”
The lady removed her cloak, and revealed that she was definitely an ugly, old, and despicable witch, disguised as a beautiful townslady. Her transformation continued before John's eyes. Her hair turned into white snakes, her gray skin cracked with dryness, and her eyes turned blank. The witch hissed like a poisonous snake. She clawed her nails through the air like a hungry werewolf. She growled like a mean bear, and continued to growl at John, as if she was going to gruesomely attack him.
“...You must think it is okay to steal things that do not belong to you.”
“I am not sure what you mean.”
“You stole my purple oranges! You trespassed onto my territory! ...and you refuse to do as you are told!” The witch ran up closer to John, grabbed his shirt again, starred him in the face, and attempts to force her lips onto John’s lips, but John continues to resist. Though, in pain, John would not give up on himself. As he continued to scream in pain, due to his throat and skin hurting, he helplessly tried to fight the witch off of him.
He replied, “I would rather die as a purple prince than kiss you.”
The witch lets go of John. John's body flings to the ground.
He continued rolling around on the ground. His skin continued to turn purple, as he screamed in pain until he died. Stiff and cold, but seemingly at peace, John lies on the ground. With a smirk on her face, the witch laughs and walks away with her basket of uknown things. The animals that once knew John gathered around and mourned his death.
