Days passed and she found herself truly enjoying her time in Korea. However, this particular morning, she has an important meeting with Seo’s father, Seo Dae-Hyun. The CEO of LUNSEO.
She wore an elegant cream blouse tucked neatly into high-waisted, navy slacks. She coupled that with a structured navy blazer, lined with silk.
Her hair was pulled back into a french braid with a few loose curls framing her face. She added simple pearl earrings that completed her look. Everything about her appearance displayed confidence and grace. She looked every bit the poised heiress and strategic mind she had been groomed to be.
Today, she was stepping into Korea’s corporate world, and she was ready.
Alexandra made her way out of the building, greeted by a white luxury sedan. She’d put in a little more effort in today’s outfit, hoping to give off a business profession.
Matteo, standing beside her, scanned the area with his usual stone-faced expression, “Looks like they sent a car. How kind.”
“Yes Matteo, it was very generous of them. Now deal with it and get in the car.”
She could tell he was annoyed and made a note to ask him about it later. He was always so cautious about those around her and liked being in control of the situation.
The door to the car opened, and a suited driver bowed slightly, “Miss Astor, please.”
Matteo motioned for her to enter first, “After you ma’am.”
Just as she stepped toward the car, a quick flash caught the corner of her eye. She turned sharply, scanning the area. No one.
Her brows furrowed, “Did you see that?”
Matteo’s eyes flickered as he remained silent.
She hesitated, lips pursing, “Nothing.”
Her skin crawled. This unbearable feeling was all too familiar. Someone was watching her in the shadows.
Did someone take a picture of me?
She didn’t like that. Matteo didn’t either. Still, she slid into the car, and the door locked behind her.
The ride was long, taking her further and further from the city. She started to take in the drive as her thoughts began to drift from what just happened. The scenery shifted, towering buildings fading into lush green landscapes and rolling hills.
It was stunning.
But Alexandra wasn’t fooled. She knew this was a business meeting and she wouldn’t let herself be distracted.
When the car finally pulled up to an estate, the doors unlocked, and a guard opened her door. Matteo liked how tight the security was.
Seo Jung-Jin was already waiting for her patiently. His hands were tucked into his perfectly tailored navy suit. If anyone had seen them in public, they would have thought they planned their outfits.
He just had to look handsome.
She felt an unfamiliar feeling. Flutters. The moment she stepped out of the vehicle to find his sharp eyes locked on her. It was as if he was studying every inch of her.
“Lovely seeing you again, Miss Astor,” His tone was polite, but the subtle disdain was impossible for her to miss.
Alexandra’s lips curled into her cheerful business woman smile, “See you’re behaving now that your father’s watching.”
Seo’s jaw tensed ever so slightly, but his smile never faltered.
On the way in Alexandra let her childish behavior get the best of her as she tripped Seo. Somehow he tumbled over her foot but quickly recovered with more grace than she had anticipated. From the outside looking at it, it seemed like he barely broke his stride.
“Mature,” he muttered under his breath with an irritated smirk.
I’ll get her back for this.
