Seff and Akhmin are sitting right outside the house, staring at the ground in shock. Achiin is roaming the field with their scorpion they have now named "Zyphon." This word in their tongue means to imbibe or drink. The bot often was sucking up things from the ground as it was idle and had nothing else to do. Sometimes, Achiin wonders what is inside the contraption, but he thinks otherwise as he's unsure if it, too, is a living thing. Alex probably wouldn't want anyone rooting around in his body without his permission, right? Only fair to ask first… Of course… it came with a cost. "A sacrifice or a blessing? Guess only one way to find out is to attempt to either perceive or come into contact with the future as it passes present tense." Achiin pondered for his new ability as he hopped on a couple of smooth, large rocks. Budding grass riddled around him, golden and swaying gently. As he floated down, he tucked his feathered wings back, landing perfectly on the soft and fertilized, broken up ground. As he felt the grains of dirt between his toes a small shock razed through the left hemisphere of his brain. No pain, only a jolt of electricity. As this happens, a cold, resonating aura gathered as his right eye's vision got entangled with what he saw in front of him on the left. It's as if two realities snapped together like a puzzle piece with a soft barrier between them. He saw tendrils reaching for sliced open flesh. The sewing of connections of tissue, blue and glowing. With that visual, he thought about what occurred with Alex, but had no reason to worry. Although one would fear this outcome, he was calm.
As Achiin was focused on calming sensory, Seff and Akhmin spoke to each other. Akhmin was staring at the titanium shard he still had. He thought about Alex's vessel and had convinced himself he wasn't "dead", just off or offline. He thought of that but revised in mind that Alex was half organic in composition. Half or whole. He only had a percentage of answers from this humanoid. They found him in a ditch next to a nest that wyrms had recently cleared, rocks surrounding him. The splattered blue blood that glowed beneath the dirt canopy was streaming onto the ground and everything. They had been back at the site of his retrieval that Seff had spoken of the day Alex was taken in. Akhmin hadn't for one moment thought only of his clan, he was just prioritizing one thing at a time. He found flowers that weren't seen by his people before. He had never seen anything like them at all. Dark blue petals, a lighter blue inside with a glowing blue pistil, ready to release blue small capsules of pollen. They seemed to have grown overnight. At the time, he had them stored and grew some more from them, cultivating them as well on the deck in the back of the house overseeing the island's cliff that drops far below the clouds in view. The sun's rays shined upon the wooden panels of structured herringbone, soaking it all in. This was the perfect spot to bare a garden. Akhmin tended to bushes of the prisma berries that Seff would make tarts out of and other baked goods. Achiin would always try and help make the gardening more efficient with his contraptions. One of them set the right amount of water every so often so nobody had to water them frequently, but Akhmin liked the time spent since there wasn't much of another hobby he had time for. If he could, he would be a blacksmith so he could make tools for both Seff and Achiin such as pots and pans or mallets and other tinkering tools. It was nice to reminisce about the past and ogle the possibilities of the future. Even Achiin liked this moment despite the morbidity of the situation. Achiin remembers so little about his mother, he was only a "finch," after all. He always wishes he could have helped out as one of the family servers in their humble cafe before it stopped being a business and nobody came around anymore. "If only she hadn't gotten sick." Achiin thought.
As everyone is idle, Akhmin starts to get up, thinking it's possible Alex will never wake again. Right when he assumed all is lost, Zyphon makes a small whirring noise and chirps, skittering past him and clawing at the door. Akhmin widens his eyes a bit and opens the door in confusion. As it cracks open, the little arachnid scrapes by, slips through the frame and enters Alex's room. Akhmin's heart is pulsing. Maybe it isn't the end, maybe they are related in some way? Seff sees green light emerging from the semi-darkened living room as Achiin rushes and peaks from behind them both in anticipation. Achiin envisions two entities merging, two forms, a solid body and a blue light. "ALEX!!" he rushes past his brother and father, desperately hoping for a good answer.
