The next morning, when Arina woke up, she found herself still in her familiar room. She quietly cursed the system under her breath. But just as she was thinking that, her nanny walked in, surprising her. The nanny looked much older than the day before. When she mentioned that today was the day Arina would take the entrance exam for the most prestigious school in the empire, Arina became even more panicked. She quickly asked, "How old am I now?"
The nanny smiled gently, "Don’t joke like that, young miss."
Arina went downstairs and saw Edgar. She smiled and greeted him, and he replied, "I heard you’re planning to take the entrance exam for the kingdom’s top school, right?"
She nodded and replied, "Yes, that’s right."
A while later, when the whole family had gathered, her father spoke up, "Arina, try your best in the exam! We will always support you."
She smiled and answered, "Yes, I will do my best."
After breakfast, Arina set off for the exam location at the colony that her family governed. As she walked, she thought about Brion, wondering how he was doing. After all, she was going to be sent there for six years. But thoughts like that wouldn’t help her now. While she was lost in thought, the driver suddenly said, "Young miss, we’ve arrived."
Arina got out of the car, telling herself, "This is not the time for distractions, Arina." She quickly walked toward the registration area.
Soon after, the entrance exam began. The first part was a knowledge test with 100 multiple-choice questions. Of course, this was no challenge for her. Arina had read many books since she was a child, and when she had crossed into this body, she had already absorbed all of Arina's knowledge from the original story, so she wasn’t worried about this section.
After finishing the test, it was already noon. As she walked out of the exam room, her stomach growled. She was a little embarrassed, but couldn’t ignore her hunger, so she decided to find somewhere to eat.
She entered a small restaurant nearby. The interior was simple but cozy. She chose a table by the window, looking outside. The soft light of the midday sun filtered in, making the atmosphere feel relaxing. She ordered a bowl of hot noodles and quickly ate.
While eating, she couldn’t help but think about the next part of the exam. It would be a skill test, and she wasn’t sure what it would entail. Although she had prepared as much as she could, she couldn’t shake the feeling of anxiety.
After finishing her meal, she paid and walked out of the restaurant, looking up at the sky and taking a deep breath. Now, she was ready for the next part of the exam.
When she returned to the exam area, she saw Edgar standing by the door, seemingly waiting for her. He smiled when he saw her.
"Did you finish eating?" he asked.
"Yes, thank you for worrying," Arina smiled and replied.
"Are you okay? The next part of the exam will be much harder," Edgar said, his eyes showing a bit of concern.
"I’ll do my best," Arina said, determination clear in her voice.
After a few more words, they both entered the next part of the exam. Arina felt more ready than ever. Despite the worries in her heart, she wouldn’t let them stop her from moving forward.
