"Kaaaak!"
It jumps at Sylvie and goes to punch her. Clang! Astra blocks it, but its strength is too much. The punch pushes his sword against him, forcing him back into Sylvie. Both of them go flying.
"Mana cushion!"
Hito forms a soft mana ball, and both of them land on it. The monster runs again toward Astra, ready to pierce him with its nails. Hito reacts quickly and forms a mana shield, but it gets destroyed.
"No! That thing destroyed my shield!"
Astra raises his sword to block, but the nails slash through it, cutting it into three pieces.
"Runnnnnnn! You're the only one who can attack him!(Only person with Invisible power except Hito) If you die, we all die! Find another weapon!"
Astra nods and runs as fast as he can. He turns back to where the monster was—only to see Sylvie lying there unconscious.
"SSSSYLVIIIIIEEEEEE!" Astra screams.
The monster suddenly appears behind him, ready to strike. Astra turns his head just in time to see the beast looming over him.
"No!"
A barrage of fireballs strikes the monster, setting it ablaze.
"KAAAAAKAKAKAK!"
It screams and rolls on the ground, trying to extinguish the flames.
"It's flammable! Distract it more!"
"Got it!"
The monster rises, even more enraged, and glares at them. Then, it places its hand on its face.
"Kaaaak!"
It lunges at Hito with such speed that he can't react.
"What—"
Its attack pierces through Hito's hand, tearing it apart.
"HHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTOOO!"
The monster stands menacingly over Hito, who sits on the ground, clutching his severed shoulder.
"Now, Astraaaaa! Pierce it!" Hito screams.
Astra hears him and doesn't hesitate. He charges at the monster, but his mind lingers on Hito's injury. He goes to pierce it—snap! The sword breaks.
"No! I forgot Aura!"
Hito turns pale as the monster counters, ready to kill Astra.
'No, it's all my fault… They'll all die because of me.'
A rock suddenly strikes the monster's head, stopping it in its tracks. It turns toward the direction the stone came from.
"Hey, bug! Don't kill anyone else!"
A bloodied Hans stirs from the rubble. Hito instantly realizes—
"Telekinesis!"
Hito hurls a large axe toward Hans.
"That's the only axe left, Senior!"
"It's okay."
Hans catches the big axe, though he's only used to small ones. The monster rushes at him, but in a swift motion—slash! Hans slices off its arm, glowing air surrounding him.
"What?! Senior cut him? But you need… wait—"
Hans flips the axe, its metal part touching the ground, then looks at Astra and Hito.
"I'll take care of the rest. You guys take a break."
He smiles at them before turning back to the monster.
"This is what you get for killing my friends."
The monster tries to block with its nails, but Hans’s Aura is too strong. Its nails get cut clean off. Even though it wears a mask, Hans can feel its fear.
"aww are you scared?" He smirks. "Time for my revenge."
The monster tries to flee, but Hans leaps on top of it, pinning it down. He places the sharp edge of his axe right above its head.
"Die."
The monster lets out a faint—
"No—"
Slash! Hans severs its head, killing it instantly.
Astra and Hito stare in shock.
"It just spoke?! A monster spoke?"
"So you heard it too… Not just me."
Suddenly, the monster's corpse vanishes.
"What? Where did the corpse go?"
Astra turns around—just in time to see Hito and Hans collapse unconscious.
"Hey, kid! You okay?"
Astra turns to the person.
"Help them!" he shouts before falling from exhaustion.
One week after the incident…
It turns out the person who arrived was a Warrior who heard the news from nearby civilians and rushed to protect us. I was investigated by the government and asked about what happened. I told them everything I knew. They checked the security cameras—it seems the monster came from an unknown rift.
The entire world went into panic, fearing when another monster like that might appear. The heroes and the government tried to console them, but research on the monster is still ongoing.
Hito, who lost an arm, woke up two days ago. He hasn't let anyone into his room and has remained isolated.
Sylvie woke up a day after the incident, terrified. She didn't leave her room for an entire day, but I eventually convinced her to come out.
The families of the students who died were devastated. They told me all about their children—I listened to all of them. It hurt. I had treated everything like a joke… and let them die.
Senior Hans, the one who killed the monster, is still in a coma. He has shown some signs of waking up.
And me… after the incident, I trained harder. But the thought of not releasing Aura kept haunting me. I would have died—and taken everyone with me—if not for Senior Hans.
that day I swore that I'd never be that careless again.
Narrator-Will Hans wake up?
