Had I just... nodded? No. I couldn't have. And yet, everything indicated that I had, indeed, nodded.
"Then it's settled," the prince said, smirking in a way that scared me a bit. Maybe not scared... but unsettled.
"I am sorry, My Prince, but do I really have to?" I almost whimpered. I didn't want to do it. I didn't know HOW to do it. It all felt too odd, too out of place. Like this scene didn't belong here at all.
The Prince took one step forward, and I could do nothing but brace myself.
"Here I come," he said, making weird motions with his fingers.
And there he came indeed. He went behind me in one smooth motion, took my shoulders and sat me down in a chair. From there he proceeded to poke and prod at my face.
"I do not really think they go that way." I made a feeble attempt at stopping him, but he seemed to enjoy poking and prodding so much that I could no longer stop him.
This went on and on and on for a while, and I simply decided to sit back and wait for it to be over.
"Aha! I got it!" The sudden exclamation took me aback.
"You got it, My Prince?" I confirmed, not at all feeling like he got anything at all.
"Indeed," he said, and then proceeded to talk like there was an audience.
...
...
I would not count that as a smile, but if it meant he was satisfied, and I no longer had to be subjected to him trying to make me smile, I would happily say a "You did indeed, My Prince."
It had all started a few nights ago when The Sixth Prince had looked at me and suddenly realized he had never seen me smile. I told him that I did not smile, so he had seen correctly.
It was my own mistake...
He had then decided he would make me smile within the week.
Today had been the last day, after countless 'surprise' attacks, though the prince had no idea how to sneak up on anyone, much less me, and the nod I had given was for the request of him being allowed to "warm up my face muscles", essentially playing with my face as what had just happened.
Prince Cyril gave himself a self-satisfied nod and started talking about other matters.
As long as he was satisfied, I was too...
Although... A part of me would miss his 'surprise' attacks.
APRIL FOOLS!
...Did I get you? xD
And even if I didn't, I hope you had fun.
And yea, I know timezones is a thing, but it's 1st of April for ME when this goes live, and that's really all I can plan for xD
This is sort of/maybe/kinda au thing, that may or may not be relevant later, but mostly it's meant as a joke, so please don't internalize it as canon x'D
The amazing comic art is made by Fenrisu (https://www.instagram.com/sanaaa_draws/) and thank you so much. This joke wouldn't be complete without you :3 (Don't they look AMAZING???)
Hope you enjoyed! Please remember to LIKE the episode, it helps out a lot<3
"You have come to kill me, have you not?"
"... I have.”
A knight kills a prince.
But it is not the end of their story.
Sir Mallis owed his life to his master and paid back by following every single command without thought or feeling.
When the command came to kill The Sixth Prince, his master’s half brother, Sir Mallis did his duty.
And while the prince did indeed die, Sir Mallis found himself having regrets. He wanted to know why The Sixth Prince did not fight or run for his life, something so opposite of how he lived his.
And while the regrets should be short-lived, as Sir Mallis dies soon after himself, he finds he has gotten a second chance at life.
Now Sir Mallis devotes himself to The Sixth Prince as penance.
But the road is long and hard as The Sixth Prince doesn’t seem to need him, his former master is intent on getting him, and things that unfolded behind the scenes in his previous life is forced out into the light, as he gets closer to The Sixth Prince who seems to be at the middle of it all.
Will Sir Mallis rise to the occasion or will his effort burn to ash?
