With every step he took in the narrow, dark corridor, our protagonist felt as if time was slowing down, as if the very place had become a part of his soul. Everything was blending together in his mind, and his thoughts were tirelessly searching for answers to the questions piling up like heavy clouds.
Another door stood before him, but this time, he didn’t feel the fear he had before. Instead, there was something deeper—an instinct that this door would reveal a missing piece of his fragmented self.
He took a deep breath, trying to recall every step he had taken in this place. The surrounding machines emitted intermittent sounds, as if they were attempting to communicate in an incomprehensible language. But at that moment, everything fell silent. Everything stopped. The air was thick with an odd energy, as if time itself was watching his movements.
He approached the door, which appeared far more intricate than any he had encountered before. The engravings on its surface were elaborate, as if they were telling an ancient story. His eyes traced the twisting symbols, sensing that they weren’t mere decorations but rather keys to unlocking something much greater. Yet, he wasn’t entirely sure what lay beyond.
"Will I be able to understand this now?" he whispered to himself, gripping the door handle. His hand trembled slightly, but something deep inside him urged him forward. "I'm here to uncover the truth."
He opened the door cautiously. The creaking sound it made felt like a lifeless melody, as if the world itself had taken a breath in that moment.
Beyond the door, he found himself in another room—this time, larger and more complex than the previous ones.
The room was filled with scattered ancient books and papers fluttering in the air, as if the space itself was alive. In the corners, small statues bore strange markings. But what caught his attention the most was the wall directly in front of him.
It was a giant map of another world, woven together in a complex pattern, its details invisible at first glance.
He stepped closer, his mind analyzing every detail carefully. The colors on the map shifted with his gaze, as if narrating a long-lost story. There were straight lines and twisted ones, but what truly mattered was the central image.
It depicted a facility—one eerily similar to the one he was in now—but it appeared older, as if it belonged to a different era. Dim lights flickered within the image, but suddenly, the map itself began to move. The wall slowly shifted, revealing something hidden behind it.
"This isn’t just a map... it’s a guide." he muttered, a newfound certainty settling within him. This was no ordinary drawing—it was leading him forward, showing him the places he needed to go, the secrets waiting to be uncovered.
But before he could process it further, an unexpected sound broke the silence. Heavy footsteps approached from behind.
His heartbeat quickened. He wasn’t alone.
He turned swiftly, expecting to see his pursuer at the last second. But he was met with someone else instead.
A stranger.
His face was unfamiliar—yet held the look of someone who had endured a harsh past.
"You... are you from here?" he asked, his voice tense.
"I’ve been waiting for you for a long time." The man’s voice was strange, each word laced with mystery.
