It has been months since I have last written in this journal, for that of a simple reason.
I have been having far too much fun on the high seas, making it easy for me to forget about writing.
But, I shall write what I can now.
I have said this many times, it is a personal goal of mine to write down all of the splendorous stories that I could possibly encounter out here, but, unlike the books that have inspired me to start this life, these stories will be true.
Everyone aboard my crew has progressed in many ways that are incredible. But the places and creatures we have encountered are that of a fantasy.
After we set sail from the chain that is land, keeping us bound only to what we know, I felt truly free.
I would now describe the ocean as wings, because there is no limit to the sites, nor possibilities that are out there. The only bound tying us down, is that of ourselves. Our very own minds, in fact.
We as humans have such a limited mind that prevents us from making many fantastical revelations. But it is a belief of mine that anything comprehensible to our mere thought, is by that, achievable in reality. No matter how many years it may take to make these dreams a reality, as long as a human can dream it, it can become more than a dream.
And once the limit of a human's mind is broken, who knows what fantastical wonders we would be able to achieve?
But even then, the creatures that exist upon this earth are still such imaginative creatures. Ones that I did not believe could exist in our world, with the only thing able to prove their true existence, is seeing them for yourselves.
The first of the many animals of the depths that we encountered upon these oceans was a pod of dolphins.
Even though this may not be the most wild thing for us to witness, it was still a sight to behold. Watching them jump out of the water, into the air, and back into the water was mesmerizing.
If only they stayed with us for longer, would I have kept watching them perform the same actions for hours on end. But alas, the illusive finned mammals disappeared, just as they came.
Although one beast we encountered did seem unbelievable, which was the mythical giant kraken. Strangely, this kraken did not fit the descriptions I had read within the many adventure books I had brought alongside me. The one we saw caused us no harm.
Instead, the gentle creature stayed next to us, as we watched it swim in the depths of the ocean. It was truly a magnificent, pulchritudinous beast.
Although there was one particular thing that was just as elusive as these other beasts I have written about. This thing being, not a creature, but instead a place.
This place we visited was known as The City In The Sky.
When I first caught sight of the unbelievable island, I was sure I was dreaming.
There was no possible way a place like this could actually exist. But I was wrong.
I started seeing strange clouds in the ocean.
Samantha had me know whilst eating dinner, that there were no indications of clouds being on the ocean, at least not on any of the maps she owned, and that it would be best if we just kept going forward.
Later, everyone else noticed these majestic clouds that I had seen before, although it was too late to avoid them. Once we reached the seemingly impossible clouds, it was an experience that I am afraid I may not be able to write correctly on these pages, because I feel it may be incomprehensible to that of a human mind, but I shall still try my best.
A few minutes after sailing on these clouds, it was as if we were lifted from the very waters themself. Moments later, we found ourselves higher up than any of us have ever been before.
Our ship then somehow landed at a civilization, a beautiful one nonetheless.
After landing at this mysterious place, we stood on these clouds that were mysteriously able to carry the weight of all five of us, not to mention the strange civilization we had encountered at that moment.
There was one local who explained what the strange occurrence we had just experienced was.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of this individual, nor do I think I can even try to explain what they told us when we were up there, in the sky, as I fear it may disrupt the human mind completely.
Truly, the only way one may be able to understand what I and the rest of my crew had encountered, is if you yourself search for this mysterious land up in the clouds.
The only thing I can tell you is that it is real. Lands like this do exist, and they are out there, despite the fact that we have been led to believe that these lands are just fairytales, places of which do not really exist.
Please, I implore you to go searching for these majestic lands in your own adventure. That is the only way that you could truly know what it is like.
Aside from the adventure I just wrote in here, there is nothing much else that has happened in between the time of me writing this journal entry, and setting sail from land, in terms of what we have encountered.
Although I will say that my deep affection for my greatest companion Reed has not died down any less. I feel these adventures together have actually strengthened our bond.
I would consider her as the light to my darkness, because I know I cannot exist without her, just as light cannot exist without dark.
If something dreadful were to happen to her, leaving us separated, I know for a fact that I would not be able to let myself exist in this world.
I do love the rest of my crew dearly, but Reed is the one I love most.
I told her this once we had set sail, I told her this in a different room to the one I am writing this story, my bedroom. The place where I said this has since become a very special place to the both of us.
It may be a dull room, having not much of a purpose other than giving a place to sit in, but for Reed and I, it feels like much more than what it is, because of what happened there. Despite only having recently told her how I felt, I feel that she has suspected this for a long time, just as I have suspected the same for her.
I knew about these feelings I held long before this happened, much longer than I had realised. I told her how much I wanted her, how beautiful she was to me, and on that day as I leaned towards her, she reciprocated the same desire.
