He was not a noble but a wealthy merchant with the necessary connections and wealth to make all her wishes come true. He mentioned it several times during their first dance.
She smiled and went through the motions of the dance. Luckily for her, it was a Waltz. During her quinceañera she had spent months practicing back in her reality. The next two years, after that, her sister, friends, and cousins had their own quinceañeras and she was part of their court.
At all the memories, her heart ached and she wished she could tell her family that she was alive.
“You dance well” he said. She did remember his name and had to glanced at her dance card that hang on her wrist during a small moment of rest during their dance. His name was Guillermo Fernández.
He was interested in her because of her noble title. Her connections and not as an individual. In short, he was trying to find a way to charm the daughter of a noble and inherit their title. She was an excellent candidate but she dislike his predatory gaze.
“You can visit me anytime. I owned and operate a trading company. If you visit my warehouse you can see all the silk and cloth we carry from around the world” Guillermo said.
“Why would I need to visit your warehouse? The tailors visit my home whenever we called them” she reply. She hadn’t been in this world for very long but she could tell he was breaking social etiquette by inviting her to his warehouse. She hoped the dance would soon end.
He did not response and they quickly parted ways after the last note was played.
