To explain the evil trio and and unknowns who came to mind when Gwen was considering the cons, the former has a lot to do with the world building and the latter are just people who've already rejected her throughout her life. In my worldbuilding here, the Evil Teams are pretty well known, especially now with the recent release of a true crime show that covers each of them. Giovanni is a famous mystery, having disappeared after the events of RBY 33 years ago and only reappearing once at the first official Pokemon World Tournament 17 years ago, but he was recognized and reported just a little too late and hasn't been seen since. Ghetsis looks like that because Gwen saw a news report about him as a toddler, he freaked her the hell out, and kids tend to see and remember things just a bit different. As for Rose, the events of SWSH haven't happened yet, but her family doesn't have a high opinion of him, as they see him as a capitalist who ruined the Galar League 28 years ago.
Anyway, that Z-A trailer did SO MUCH for my motivation to the point that this may have been my quickest time for a page, lol.
