I did it.
Today was my first day out at sea, with no one else except the people I care the most about by my side.
I am not sure how many entries I shall write here, as it seems the beautiful waves that have lured me off the land, may be too alluring for me to look away.
I will tell you the many things that have happened aboard this marvellous ship before I forget to, as it is my intention to write my journeys in this book, perhaps for someone of the future to read.
We have all found our place within this wooden vessel, of which I have named The Saber of Xebec.
I have given her that name, since it is that of a characters ship, from my favourite book series known as ‘Brag Place’, the books that had first planted the idea of setting sail in my mind.
Our pirate crew is now called the Roshio Pirates. Roshio is a name people would call me when I was young, although I do not remember how I acquired this nickname.
Nonetheless It has stuck with me ever since, as to why I shall now name my crew after it.
As for the crew themselves, Jay is currently enjoying his life here.
He has brought many tools with him, to help further the sailing of Xebec on this vast, treacherous ocean.
I have mentioned this before, but Jay’s knowledge of this ship repair industry is little, although I do not judge him for it. We are all beginning as pirates here, so there is much learning to do from every person who is with me.
However, he does know enough to help the ship continue sailing forward. That is all we will need for now.
As for my other crew members, Samantha is studying the art of navigating.
I do not know much about how she is doing, since she is always in her room, figuring out the path that the ship is currently on.
The only times I see her, is for dinner, or when she feels the need to tell us what she has learnt, such as what path lies ahead on our trail.
I do not wish to disturb Samantha when she is in her room, simply because I know she likes to work with no interruptions, and that is something that I respect.
The fact that she does not wish for any disturbances whilst working, as well as the fact that she is so dedicated to the craft that she feels the need to not be disturbed.
George is also doing rather well.
He has brought many ingredients along with him, and has thus created plenty of wonderful meals for us all to happily indulge in.
I have now learnt that he is not just a good cook, but a wonderful friend.
As I have previously said, we are close friends, so we already have gotten to know each other, but since sailing off, I have learnt that George is rather social, which is strange, since he did not used to be at home.
When learning together in school, he would always keep to himself. At best he would talk to me, Jay, Samantha or Reed. But no one else. Which led me to believe that he only opened up to those he trusted well.
Now that we are sailing together, he is constantly checking in on, not just me, but rather everyone on board, making sure we are all full, and that we do not need any more food to eat.
I am happy for him. He has since found a place amongst his crew, which I would agree is a good thing.
As for Reed, I could not be happier with where she is now, and neither could she.
We have both expressed from our first interactions, how deeply we have wanted to spend our lives together.
This dream has now finally become a reality, as we have decided to share a room together. Not only that, but a bed as well. Although she had her choice of owning her own room, she chose to be with me.
I cannot truly express how grateful I am to be with her, nor can I put into words how beautiful and stunning she is. We have now installed a sign on the front of our bedroom door, letting people know that we share a room together. A little golden plate has been installed on the door saying, ‘Captain Bonnie and Reed’s Room.’
We truly are roommates.
