Chapter 7.

The old fashioned way.

UWhen the timer rang, it indicated that the 20 minutes had passed again; then, it was reset with a limit of 12 minutes, so they grabbed the largest bones and broke them in half, there was not much time or anything to do…

There were no tools to help them, so they broke them in half and shouted that they were ready, which made the timer pause and a door open, but the lights that filtered from that room were a dark crimson red, so they knew it would be something difficult to see.

The Lico sisters crossed the threshold, finding themselves in a room that looked like the refrigerator of a rotting butcher shop…

And then the man's voice sounded, saying that they should be careful not to step on the red squares on the floor, which led them both to look at the floor and they saw that everything looked like a chessboard between red and black squares, so they should only step on the black squares, but ¿what would happen if they stepped on the red squares?

Julie asked, ¿What will happen if we step on a red square by mistake? To which the voice confessed: You are going to have fun in many ways, so the decisions are in your hands, but you have to manage to step on all the black squares in the place individually, so good luck and be careful not to get confused…

The voice stopped talking and the sisters looked at the floor, they were so full that they felt like they couldn't walk so easily, and when they started to do so, each step they took darkened the lights in the place, which made it difficult for them to see the black squares in the dark.

Each sister went on her own looking to step where they had to, but one of the traps ended up activating because in so much darkness it was impossible for their feet, not to fail and a lot of arrows began to shoot through the walls of the place causing the women to duck so as not to be hurt…

However, an arrow managed to pierce Melanie's arm, who let out a heartbreaking scream as she felt how the arrow penetrated the flesh of her right arm and pierced it until it found an exit through the back of her arm, thus being trapped between the flesh...

Julie did not ask anything, in fact, crouched she continued walking to complete the journey, but her sister did not stop crying, however, she did not want to comfort her because she had too much pressure on her shoulders to waste time on her...

Thus, she was the only one who managed to open her escape door when stepping on the last square it sucked her inside releasing her in front of a giant slide, the room was full of light, so she could notice that instead of water, the slide lubricant was a red liquid…

She knew it was blood, the smell was unmistakable, then the man's voice was heard telling her: you have to go down. 

Go down the slide alone, your sister will catch up with you later if she makes it past the top floor, good luck and be careful when you get to the bottom.
