As I walk into the bar of the King George Hotel , the smell of whiskey and beer fills my nose the scent is suffocating I grimace and straighten my black suit. My eyes scan the bustling room. I finally spotted her, a young lady around twenty years old with dark brown wavy hair just above her shoulders, light brown tanned skin and beautiful hazel eyes. I smile and walk over, weaving my way through the crowd, the loud music playing from the speakers blasting ‘Highway to Hell by ACDC’ in my ears, I push through a group of angsty teenagers and finally make it to the bar. I sit down and tell the bartender to get me a cocktail and a beer. Minutes later the drinks arrived, I slide the cocktail over to the young lady and take a sip of my beer.
“Well, hello beautiful would you care for a drink with me?” The girl smiles, blushes and accepts the cocktail.
“I’m Rosie, what’s your name” she asks her voice sweet like honey.
I hesitate but then answer, “I’m Jack it’s a pleasure to meet you”
I kiss her hand, and she blushes and looks away, I take a sip of my drink and order her another, wrapping my arm around her waist. Hours later Rosie is drunk 10 empty cocktail glasses sit on the bar table and I finish off my beer and take my chance. I lead her up to the fire escape, I’ve left a small rock in the door to keep it open and we slip in silently slipping down the hallway to my room.
I open the door to my room, inside it smells like mould and dust. I spot the single bed with white grimy sheets on it. Rosie tugs on my shirt and I turn around before I know it she’s kissing me; I kiss back then pull away and push her onto the bed. I grab an old rope from the old wooden drawer, and I tie her to the bed. I stood up and slowly walk my way over to the window.
“Hey, where are you going?” Rosie says confused tilting her head the side so she can see me, I smile sweetly.
“I’m just having a cigarette I’ll be quick” she furrows her brows but nods. I pull out a cigarette box and lighter from my jacket pocket and light it, smoke fills my lungs. I breathe it in I hold it there letting the smoke fill my body, then I slowly exhale, grey, thick smoke floats into the air. I drop the cigarette and stomp on it before kicking it under the drawer.
