A faint glow appears. Papyrus still with his eyes closed afraid to even know what’s happening. When suddenly he hears a voice.
“Paps, a-are you okay?”
Rather… A familiar voice.
“Paps! Answer me!”
He slowly opens his eyes and to his surprise, he sees his brother standing in front of him, with a giant skull in front deflecting the attack just in time.
“PAPS! SNAP OUT OF IT!”
“W-wha… What are you doing here?”
“To save you of course! We have to get out of here AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!”
“N-No! We can’t… we…” Papyrus confused, gets a tad anxious about a decision that has to be made. “We can’t! I have to defend the Tree!”
“We’ll get back to the Tree LATER!”
The human groans again “Urgh… Save your cheesy saving story for later.” and finally after multiple slashes towards the giant skull, it broke, able to slash through Sans and Papyrus. “Finally.”
In a desperate situation, Papyrus’ right eye glows again of Orange and soon the Human’s soul appears. Two Incompatible souls, one is a Vessel and one is a Glitching Determination? It is glitching, however its color is not very bright as a Determination’s soul. Both of them wondering how it is possible for it to be so incompatible yet it doesn’t let go?
Papyrus continues and ignores the other situation, controlling both of the souls and was thrown far away. However, Papyrus wasn’t precise exactly and it hit the edge of the Dome shattering a piece of it, sending a massive alert to Alphys’ lab. There, an opening, the Human tries to reach inside but a Yellow Blast sends him further away.
“We’ll have to leave NOW.” Sans covers his face with his arms as the area becomes too windy from too many explosions. There Papyrus still remains, he thinks too much in just a short amount of time. Having to decide whether to save the Tree, or to save his Brother, to save himself, or to sacrifice. But one thing made it clear, he was selfless. He chose to keep protecting the Tree.
“Please… Brother. I can’t… the Dome has to be fixed.”
“Paps… we don’t have much-”
“I CAN’T! If the tree is in danger, the Multiverse is too! We have to fix this before it gets damaged more!”
“I KNOW! But I came here specifically for you…” Sans glanced at the Human from a far “That thing… was the Anomaly that Alphys warned us about…”
Papyrus gasps “W-what?”
“I know… and… I really can’t lose you, paps…” The Human stands up “I can’t lose you in this Universe.”
“But I thought that was the Human just doing a Genocide?”
“How gullible are you to just see that? That thing’s out annihilating EVERYONE!”
“H-how… I thought our Universe was supposed to be a Pacifist one…”
“IT'S THE ANOMALY PAPYRUS! Ugh… we don’t have much time to argue right now.. please...”
“But isn’t that… the last human that’s supposed to fall down?”
“Yes… It appears that it is the Human. But didn’t you notice?” Sans reminds him about the souls that they saw earlier “There’s 2 souls in there… The vessel one, I’m guessing that’s our Human. And a ticking bomb… I’m suspecting it's the Anomaly.”
They can hear debris moving and falling from a distance.
“PAPYRUS PLEASE… We don’t have much time to talk right now… I’ll tell you when we get to Alphys.” He grabs his hands and snaps his finger to teleport away, but it fails. Sans forgot that while inside the Tree of Time, long distance teleportation going outside from within is disabled but long distance teleporting from outside to within works just fine. “Ugh… I always forgot that this place is forbidden to use teleport… GREAT!”
“We’ll have to force our way out of here.”
“But that thing is faster than the bolt of lightning!” Debris starts to roll on the floor even more, and the human stands from a far as the fog dissipates. “We won’t make it in time…” Human’s appearance glitches, to a Normal one and to the glitched one that holds a Cleaver. “Prepare yourself… brother… we’ll attack our way out.”
Papyrus stands up, goes near Sans, and prepares to launch an attack and to aid his brother. 2 skeleton hands summons from each side of him, the other holding a circular glass tube, while the other holding nothing. “I’ll cover for you, Brother.”
“Alright.” Sans’ right eye glows yellow and a Giant skull summons in front of them, it blasted in the Human’s Direction and it hit. They thought he had hit the human, however, it spawns behind Papyrus, Sans sensed this and spawns a Huge skull to block its attack in time.
Papyrus glanced back, assisted his brother when the two of the floating hands in the air made an explosive through chemical mixing. Upon finishing, his eyes glow orange, controlling the Human and throws him to the same crater Papyrus got thrown. Human clears the smoke, though a chemical tube follows flying towards its direction sending a critical explosion.
“Nice one, paps.”
“My pleasure, dear brother.”
“We’re not done yet, that’s not going to end it.”
“I got this…” He then created a few more explosive chemical tubes, with the help of the floating hands, some of them got sent throwing towards the Human’s direction. The Human quickly notices this, disappears through thin air, and goes through one of the chemical tube’s positions while it’s flying. He kicked it with his cleaver, and it got sent towards the Dome’s direction.
Both of the Skeleton Brothers catched the sight of the explosive going towards the dome, Sans desperately tried to summon a huge skeleton in its way but was too late as it exploded midair, glass shards hitting the dome too fast and too strong that caused it to break completely.
“Oh Fuck…”
In just a split second, the dome shattering sends a huge electromagnetic wave, a blue coloured wave scatters around them so fast it even ignores solid material that gets sent throughout the whole underground. Of course this reached Alphys and Undyne, Even Asgore who’s at the very end of the underground.
“Finally…” the human teleports in front of the tree “Have the two of you wondered what would happen if this tree…” he chuckles “gets destroyed?” eyes glow red, leaning its head backwards looking towards the brothers. “Why don’t we try?”
“NO!” Papyrus desperately uses its floating skeleton hands, rushes towards the Human halting its slashing of the tree. The other floating hand summons a bullet that rushes and explodes on contact, sending the Human away so they can have a few more minutes to think of what to do.
“BROTHER WE SHOULD GO!” The Dome’s shattering started sucking everything in its way slowly, Sans notices this. But ignores it and proceeds to grab Papyrus who's still in front of the Tree.
“This is bad…”
“COME ON! WE HAVE TO GO NOW!” Sans grabs his brother away from the tree when slowly it starts sucking things too fast within the area.
The Human on the side laying down, leaned up its head and stood up, jumped towards the tree who’s literally becoming a threat that sucks everything whether it's as small as a grain of salt, to the biggest as big as a living monster or human.
Of course Sans notices this, he fires another blaster in its direction completely pushing it farther away again. The human notices this and groans, it grows tired of them, when all of a sudden the human raises its weapon and its glitching red soul infused with the weapon. “I’ve grown tired of you two… Why don’t we make this a little more… Fun?” It slashes its weapon in front of them, sending a slash wave towards their direction. All things it passes through gets ripped in reality.
“PAPYRUS!” The slash changes its direction towards Papyrus who is defenseless at the time just behind Sans who’s giant skeleton was summoned in front of him to cover. Sans desperately summons another skeleton in his direction for cover but suddenly another slash is coming towards Sans’ direction.
Not knowing what to do in a rather critical situation, He forces his focus on the incoming slash in front of him and blocks it. Papyrus took the hit. “I’m so sorry Brother…”
“Don’t worry, I can always do this.” Two of the floating hands were mixing something in the air and it revealed a green chemical, which seems to be a healing potion. He drank this and it healed him.
“Heh.. I almost forgot…”
The Human groans from the distance “Your one unique Papyrus… huh…”
“What do you mean..?” Sans asks
“Your fish friend doesn’t seem to be different from the Original Undyne… it was rather boring to fight her. She was rather… weaker than the original one.”
He chuckles “weaker huh? Weren’t you the one that had received a fatal blow from Undyne when you left the scene?”
“Was I?” Taunted the Human, it disappears in thin air. Sans glances left and right quickly, and when a shadow appears in front of him, his pupils shrinked “Don’t you think you are the weakest right now?” Sans looked up at the human assaulting him from the air.
The situation was too fast, Sans couldn’t think of what to do next and stood still there when suddenly an explosion hit the Human. He glances at Papyrus’ direction seeing him giving a thumbs up and a smile. Sans replied with a thumbs up too, profusely sweating, glances back in front and looks for the Human.
The human blocks the explosion with its bare arms, sends it flying down, kneeling down on the floor. “ARGH! This is getting tiring for both of you… Why don’t you just… Give up?” a sinister giggle can be heard that echoes through the smoke from the explosion.
Multiple slashes can be heard from a far, Brothers not knowing where it comes as they keep on glancing left and right, ears up. They both heard glass shards breaking, as if it was walking or running around. It keeps getting faster. When all of a sudden a Slash rushes towards their direction. They were able to block it with a Giant Skull just in time it was summoned by Papyrus.
“BROTHER THERE!” Papyrus pointed in the direction of where the slash came from, Sans sprinted towards it and summoned a huge bone while his eyes glowed seemingly trying to manipulate if there were any souls around. Unable to detect anything, he stops for a second. He observes the surroundings. A slash passes by beside Sans, it felt that it wasn’t directing at him at all, but it was directing at Papyrus who’s very vulnerable right now.
“PAPYRUS WATCH OUT!” He turned around and shouted at Papyrus, trying to save him with another giant skull but he was too late… Papyrus took the blow, it hit him badly sending him far away from that one slash only. The fog dissipates and he feels the Human rushing towards Papyrus, and passes by him. He followed along and couldn’t even think to teleport but just took the run.
He keeps on summoning spikes of bones in front of the Human trying to delay its movements. But it perfectly dodged them every time. “PAPYRUS DEFEND YOURSELF!”
Trembling Papyrus hears his brother’s words still in the mist slowly dissipating. He tries to make healing potions, a barrier potion that'll be able to protect him at least from a strong attack, and lastly tries to manipulate any souls nearby but seems to be not detecting anything.
“PAPYRUS RUN!” He hears his brother again, and there he starts running away, as soon as he leaves the mist on the other end, returning his look on the front, he is greeted with the Human’s face in front of him “Boo.” He pierces through the Barrier and stabs him.
The human missed the chances to stab Papyrus directly at his soul. But this made him feel numb and weak and there Papyrus passed out. From the distance, bottles of different potions can be heard from a far falling down, breaking and shards of it scattering around and finally hears a laugh.
Sans alerted went through the direction of the sound. “Papyrus please.. Please… no…” whispers to himself as he keeps on running.
And at the end of the dissipating mist, there he sees Papyrus lying down on the floor with all of his potions broken, scattered around. The Human floating just above him attacking the passed out Skeleton. “Looks like… It's his time.”
“Tick tock… Sans.” The Human continues to taunt him.
He stopped running. Glances over the two of them. “W-What do you want?!”
“Oh we’re having a little chat now… ugh… so boring.” It groans as it throws the weapon, disappearing in thin air.
“Why are you doing this…? Who sent you here? How did you get here?!”
“My… Easy on the questions now…” It crosses its arms “Firstly, I was directed here. Not sure who, but it's been guiding me to approach your world. You have one of the CRAZIEST security in the entire Multiverse I must say…” it chuckles.
“Our Universe isn’t meant for the likes of you.”
“Woah easy there, I haven’t even finished talking.”
“Why are you killing everybody… What did our Universe do to YOU.”
“Hmm… Can’t shut up, huh? And not let me even finish talking.”
“Fine… Talk.”
“Very well.” He changes into a position where he sits in the air and relaxes “This ought to take me a bit of time because… ugh… cheesy conversation. Can’t we just let the fight do the talking?”
Sans didn’t budge to answer.
“Now being silent? My, what a peculiar skeleton you are. Anyway…” There he starts to tell Sans about what it knows.
It wasn’t that long ago that the Soul possessed the Human of this Universe. It was guided by a mysterious voice calling out to her in the mysterious plane of the Multiverse swimming around endlessly looking for a new victim.
She followed the voice and arrived in a secluded Universe. The entrance to its planet is so strong that she almost decided to flee to another one, but it magically opened a crack for her to slip through. She ventured through the planet and found it too different from the universes she had visited.
She visited the counterpart of ‘Frisk’ in this Universe, and found… rather odd person. Black Hair with its hair covering his eyes, a grey striped top who’s sleeping on a home without anybody in but only him. She suspected that he’s living alone. She checked its soul and confused, ‘An empty shell?’ she observed closely ‘This is far too different from the souls I’ve encountered in other universes.’
But she shrugged this off, as she’s seen many other different Frisks. A voice once again called to her to Possess her and start visiting the usual Mountain to the underground. She followed the voice, it's almost as if… its brainwashing her and taking over control towards her. She possessed the human in which she gets to know the identity of it. ‘Henry huh? We’ll see how much you’d enjoy a stroll.’
She then proceeded to the Mountain and jumped off of the opening.
“This is boring… Can we just- get on with the fighting?” She interrupted her own story for a moment.
“Wait… Someone guided you here? How?” Sans asks
The human ignores this, and looks at Sans. “Look, I’m tired of this.” She then stands up from her imaginary chair and summons the weapon back into her hands. “I’m putting an end to your miserable lives.” She pointed the tip of the weapon at Papyrus’ direction.
