Chapter 9.
First impression.
The morning had arrived quickly, there were exotic foods and drinks in the temple, the best dishes and the best delicacies for these Angels who would look human so as not to scare away the dancers who would accompany them during the day, so Charmi went to look for Fleyra, who was prepared in such a spectacular way, that he himself had to look away because he felt that he could fall in love with the woman with just one look…
The carriage in which he was taking her to the place arrived without any problem and he took her to settle in a small room in the temple away from the rest of the dancers, leaving afterwards to meet with the other men who would serve their guests as if they were servants…
Almost at noon five men entered the place, their hair was of different colors, some blond, others completely white, some black and one mahogany… although their physical appearance was very graceful they were still very masculine, they left a couple of gifts on each side table and sat in front without occupying the throne that belonged to the prince who had not arrived, Then the dancers who would entertain them began to enter…
As they drank and ate, they moved with implacable grace, each movement very well selected, their eyes could not be taken away from them, so several numbers went by and the applause returned…
None of the dancers dared to say anything that showed signs of tiredness, because they had spent all day yesterday practicing these numbers that today entertained such important characters, but the men began to despair and wonder why the main character had not yet appeared…
And although it was a guarantee that five other Angels would be here, they knew that the important one was the prince, the afternoon began to fall, the last rays of the sun were peeking out and he still had not appeared…
One of the Angels calmed the atmosphere saying that the prince would arrive when the sun set, but that they wanted to hear the ladies sing, and so it was, they began to sing the sweetest poems they knew, Fleyra tried not to desperate and used all this time to concentrate on what she would do, she had memorized whole pages of manuscripts, poems by consecrated authors who had already died, and even some of her own were also present in her mind…
Her makeup felt fresh, and although she did not need it, this highlighted her beauty more, her red lips tempted to sin… And then, when the sun set, a man with superhuman beauty and hair in copper tones got off a black thoroughbred horse, his presence exuded Power, Glory and Wealth…
His face was serious and his eyes did not look to his sides and once he sat in his seat he raised his hand without speaking, I'm sorry, it's to indicate that they could now begin with the number that they had prepared especially for him…
And then, Fleyra was called, and the woman, with her outfit revealing the color of her eyes: a beautiful blue wrapped in rhinestones on her torso and her feet adorned with jewels, with diamonds embedded in the headdresses she had on her long, straight, black hair, appeared connecting her eyes with those of the copper-haired man.
