Chapter 1.
The Payment.
Elara danced among the golden rays of the sun, her transparent wings shining with an ethereal glow as she glided over the flowers of the enchanted forest.
Her laughter mixed with the song of the birds and the soft whisper of the wind. This was her home, a place of magic and serenity, where every being lived in harmony under the protection of the light.
However, that day, an unknown restlessness began to arise in her heart. Something in the air had changed, a dark whisper that seemed to want to break the peace of the forest.
Elara stopped, her wings tensed, and her gaze turned to the horizon, where the shadows were beginning to lengthen more than usual.
Far away, in a kingdom hidden by darkness, the King of the Demons watched the twilight from the top of a mountain. Although his demonic nature drove him to sow chaos, something inside him led him to question his purpose.
That night, an inexplicable storm pushed him to cross the borders of his world and enter the golden forest of Mel.
Meanwhile, the Queen of the Fairies, Mara, had received a new request from the King of Demons. He wanted them to cultivate new demons for his kingdom, but Mara had refused, as the king did not want to pay with immortal stardust for the cultivation of new demons.
Reproduction in the four kingdoms was the responsibility of the Earth Kingdom, better known as the Fairy Kingdom. They were in charge of harvesting the inhabitants of the other realms from the first meteor shower.
These included the aquatic realm, the celestial realm, and the realm of darkness, but depending on the realm, the payment was different. The celestial realm paid with orchid crystals; the aquatic realm offered the works of art.
The Fairy Kingdom paid with immortal stardust.
This payment did not stay in the fairy kingdom, but was used in the second stage of cultivation to nourish these new inhabitants. It was known that fairies were born from the rustling of flowers, something that happened at each eclipse, so they had fewer inhabitants, but much more work than in the other kingdoms.
However, there were some talking stones in the Celestial Kingdom, which if you brought them a particular type of flower, they would tell you a story. One of these stories was a legend, which was always heard that one of the crops, when it is about to hatch and be born, its soul begins to recognize another that has just been planted.
These two species, no matter how far apart they are and even if they were from different kingdoms, have the power to conceive in an individual and exclusive way from only two lovers.
However, every time that happened, the four kingdoms ended up facing each other in a great battle that led to the absolute freezing of all of them as a universal punishment by the whole.
