Chapter 3.
Shadows of the past.
.
Morgana the Bloodthirsty stood in her cabin, staring at the empty chest where she used to keep the Scarlet Ring. Rage and a thirst for revenge burned within her, but there was something else too: a dark, painful memory that had shaped her into the feared captain she was today.
Echoes of that fateful day echoed in her mind. Morgana closed her eyes and let herself drift away into the shadows of the past.
She was just a child when she first saw him. Marcus the Stormy, a cruel and ruthless pirate, had invaded her home. Morgana belonged to a noble family who held ancient knowledge of magic, secrets that had been passed down through generations. They lived in a mansion on a secluded island, surrounded by wealth and wisdom.
But that night, everything changed. Screams echoed through the halls as Marcus's sailors looted and destroyed everything in their path. Morgana, hidden behind a curtain, watched in horror as her world fell apart.
Marcus, with his fierce gaze and bloody sword, made his way into the main room. There stood Morgana's mother, a woman of unparalleled beauty and power, who bravely faced the pirate.
I will not allow you to take what is ours, her mother said in a firm voice, raising a hand to cast a spell.
But Marcus was faster. With one precise movement, he slit the woman's throat, and the life faded from her eyes in an instant. Morgana held back a scream, paralyzed by fear and pain.
There is no place for magic at sea, Marcus muttered, wiping his sword on his mother's clothes.
The horror did not end there. Marcus's sailors stormed into the rooms, abusing the maids and looting everything in their path. The mansion, which had once been a symbol of knowledge and prosperity, became a hell of fire and blood.
Morgana managed to escape, but that day left an indelible mark on her soul. She swore revenge on Marcus, the man who had taken her mother from her and destroyed her home.
Over time, she became a feared and respected captain, leading "The Crimson Fury" with fierce determination. The name of her ship not only reflected her anger, but also the color of the scarlet sea that had seen her family die.
Back in her cabin, Morgana opened her eyes and clenched her fists. Vengeance was her only purpose, and she would not rest until Marcus paid for his crimes. The next time they faced each other, it would not just be a battle for a ring, but for justice and retribution.
The wind howled outside the ship, and the waves crashed with fury. Morgana knew that fate had brought her to this point, and she was ready to unleash her wrath on the man who had destroyed her life only there was something she did not know and that was that Marcus, having not seen Morgana when she was little, did not remember her nor did he know that she had known each other before long before their encounters at sea.
