Tyrannos and Boreas stare each other down, waiting for the moment to strike. Boreas then charges towards Tyrannos, his mouth wide open and teeth made bare. Tyrannos dodges the attack and sinks his teeth into Boreas' neck. Boreas tries to shake Tyrannos off by slamming him against a tree. Boreas then follows up with a kick to Tyrannos' gut, forcing the young tyannosaur to let go. As Tyrannos loses his grip, Boreas smacks Tyrannos to the ground with his tail. Boreas approaches the downed Tyrannos and places his foot on Tyrannos, pinning him down. Boreas looks at Tyrannos with rage in his eyes. In his mind, Tyrannos is a traitor to the natural order of predator and prey.
As Tyrannos lays there, he remembers when he first arrived at the herd. He recalls how he first met Stera and formed a close friendship with her. He remembers how Titus and the herd cared for him and how Tyrannos did the same in return. He remembers how, despite not trusting Tyrannos for a second, Toro put his faith in Tyrannos to look after the herd even if it costed him his life. It dawn on Tyrannos that, despite being a Cryotyannus, his true family is people of the herd. The herd to him was a community that welcomed him and was a family he would do anything to protect.
Before Boreas could attack, a bright icy blue glow engulfs Tyrannos, send Boreas back a bit. Boreas tries to get a better look but the glow is blinding. When Tyrannos steps out of the light, he is wearing a clad of armor. Spikes line the back ending in a blade at the end of his tail. His helmet is adorned with a pair of horns at the center of his head, with one horn being larger that the other. This armor is known as the frostbite armor. Stera is surprised upon seeing Tyrannos' new armor. Upon seeing the armor, Boreas is at first perplexed by the armor before charging head first towards Tyrannos. Boreas bites Tyrannos, his teeth hitting the armor on Tyrannos' neck. The attack fails to leave a dent in the armor and instead breaks multiple of Boreas' teeth. Tyrannos responds by smacking Boreas aside, sending the tyrannosaur flying. When Boreas stands back up, he sees Tyrannos charging towards him.
Boreas tries to dodge each of Tyrannos' attack only to feel a burning pain in his abdomen. He looks and sees Tyrannos' horns embedded deep into his hide. Before he could process what happened, Tyrannos tosses him aside, pulling the horn out of Boreas in the process. Boreas could barely stand back up, the pain from that last attack being too much. Not wanting to give up, Boreas fires his ice breath at Tyrannos in hopes of ending things quickly. The spikes on Tyrannos' back begin to glow as the beam head towards him. With glowing eyes, Tyrannos opens his mouth and fire a spiral ice breath at Boreas. The two beams clash, releasing a wave of energy in every direction. Boreas struggles to maintain his ice breath. Eventually, Tyrannos' ice breath overpowers Boreas' as the tyrannosaur is to hold back Tyrannos' power. Boreas collapses to ground, beaten and exhausted from the fight.
Tyrannos approaches the now beaten Boreas and points his bladed tail at Boreas' core. Boreas, expecting Tyrannos to finish him, closes his eyes expecting the finishing blow. Tyrannos withdraws his blade and gruffs at Boreas, telling him to leave. With the hint taken, Boreas stumbles back up on his feet and leaves Tyrannos and the herd. Tyrannos' armor disipates into ether as Tyrannos struggles to stand from exhaustion. Stera, having watched the whole fight, summons her vines and hold Tyrannos up. Stera hoots a sound of gratitude for what Tyrannos did. Tyrannos and Stera nuzzle their heads againist each other, knowing they can rely on each other for anything. With their bond strengthened, Tyrannos and Stera return to the herd ready to finish their journey.
