(Reinier's Viewpoint)
I see the two colliding and the moose being slightly pushed back due to the impact of Kaiser's punch.
Thousands of blue particles are scattered in the air after the impact. These blue particles are similar to fireflies for the glow they emanate.
I immediately move to Moose's side and get a view of the monster's body from the side.
Placing both hands on the sword and positioning it backwards, the sharp edge of the sword faces the moose's belly. I imbue the sword with flames with my fire magic!
The flames surge uncontrollably.
The moose shakes its head. The Kaiser's coup must have hurt.
Accumulating flames that run through the entire sword, I thrust my sword into the moose's belly!
Almost half of the blade enters the monster; its skin is tough and difficult to break, but I have another skill!
The flames that were on the entire sword are now accumulating only on the part of the blade that is inside the moose. Fire quickly builds up inside it; the sword turns red with so much heat accumulated, and all the flame is released at once as a small explosion inside the monster happens.
For the first time, the animal screams. A scream of pain that could be heard from miles away. And again, blue particles come out of Celeste Moose in large amounts.
I pull the blade with force, and a small amount of blood spurts out, while the rest of the blood runs through the hair.
(Kaiser's point of view)
I get up and see that the moose is screaming. I can see that Reinier hit the moose. Taking advantage of this, I run towards the monster and do a pressurized water spell, but on both legs, up to the knee. Waves begin to form on my legs.
Running as the magic charges, I release all the pressure and take a huge leap. Right now, I'm on top of the moose, in midair.
I put my two fists up, with my arms stretched out vertically, and the water begins to envelop my arms, and it expands until it forms two giant fists of water.
Gravity pulls me down and makes me gain speed.
When I get close enough to the moose, I turn my water fists down and land a hard punch on the moose's head!
The moment I hit, half of the antlers are broken, all the water is violently scattered, and a thunderous splash, as if from a waterfall, echoes everywhere! I fall awkwardly to the monster's side.
The monster's head tilts downward, but after a few seconds, the moose lands sideways towards me!
I scramble back quickly, and the animal's body falls.
Standing up, I take a long breath with my hands on my hips. This was more exhausting than I thought.
I go to Celeste Moose's body and sit on his belly.
"We did it." I say, looking at Reinier with a thumbs up and a small smile on my face, quite breathless.
My pants are completely wet from the magic I used on my legs.
"That was easier than I thought." Reinier says as he walks over to me. "You are strong." He complements as he makes his way to the moose's head.
What is he planning?
"What are you going to do?" I ask.
He puts the sword to the animal's neck.
"Rip his head off. It must make a lot of money." He says, as he raises his sword upwards with both hands towards the sky, I mean the ceiling.
"Are you crazy?" I speak with indignation. "And where are you going to keep this?" The only thing he has is a small pouch on his hip!
Without listening to me, he brings the sword down and rips the monster's head off.
That's a little gross.
"I will take it in hand." He speaks without any concern on his face.
He's completely nuts.
Now that all the action is over, I realize that this fight was really fast, like, I landed two strikes and Reinier only landed one. That must mean I'm stronger than a C-rank monster, or at least stronger than level 11 monsters.
I get off the moose and see a crystal forming from the monster's fur. The hairs come together and form a crystal that changes from blue to yellow.
Then, the crystal detaches itself from the animal's body, and I take it.
"Here." I hold up the crystal with two fingers for Reinier to see and tuck it into my bag.
The man who was hiding behind a tree finally comes out, apprehensive.
Now I have a better view of him. Cat ears with messy green hair that goes down to the eyebrows. He wears a simple brown shirt with small iron armor that only covers his breastplate, and a gray cape. He wears black pants without much detail.
"You!" He points at me. Reinier turns and looks at the man. " Y-You already have a House?!" He asks.
This is the first time I've been asked if I have a House since I was twelve. Am I supposed to say I don't?
The last time I entered a House everything went wrong...
"No." I respond sympathetically.
The man frowns.
"I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to him!" He points to Reinier. This guy's voice is really annoying.
Reinier looks confused at the man. Of course, he doesn't understand anything, he just arrived in the Dungeon Area!
"Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier, my name is Gyian, and I am part of one of the Twelve Protected Houses." Placing his right hand in the center of his chest, he says.
Is this guy part of one of the Twelve Houses?!?!
It could be a bluff to recruit Reinier. But what this guy must not know is that Reinier has no idea what a House is!
"Currently, I already have a house, the rent is a little expensive, but it's payable." Reinier says sincerely.
"I think you misunderstood, I want to make a contract with you!" Gyian speaks. "I was impressed with your skill and coolness with the sword, that blow you landed on the monster's belly was incredible! I think you would make a great member of our household." He completes.
Did he not realize that Reinier is a complete rookie?
Also, I did most of the work here, why is Reinier having a proposal?
"I'm part of the Litch House, it's in the West Area. I couldn't see the full fight as I was hidden behind the tree, but with your skill, you have what it takes to enter our House! We can pay large sums of money if you join us." Gyian speaks with a smile on his face along with a serious look. "Of course, we can include other benefits, such as... "
"it's enough. I already said that I don't want to change houses. And another thing, were you going to pay me to live in your house? That seems like a scam." Reinier interrupts Gyian and speaks a little angrily.
Now I understood why he wanted to hire Reinier, he only saw part of the fight.
"Think about it, this is a golden opportunity! It's not every day someone offers you a contract to enter one of the Twelve Protected Houses." Gyian says, but with a bit of concern.
There's something wrong, I don't think that's how recruiting new adventurers in the Twelve Protected Houses works. And this guy couldn't even handle the Celestial Moose. I think it's suspicious that a member of the Twelve Houses couldn't handle a C-rank monster.
He could be a scammer who is just waiting for Reinier to accept to make a contract that harms him.
"Before, I wanted to see something. Can you give me a map?" Reinier says.
Good one, Reinier!
"Clear." Gyian lifts his cloak and pulls out a backpack. After searching inside, he takes out a map. "Here it is." He speaks.
He hands it to Reinier. I approach and see an old piece of paper with a drawing of a forest. At some points on the map, I see some lakes.
"Where are we?" Reinier asks, looking at the map.
"Here." Gyian points to the northwest region of the map, near the edge of the dungeon.
On the map, there is a red dot in the west, at the edge of the map.
"What is this red dot here?" I ask, placing my finger over the dot.
"This is the way out." Gyian speaks genuinely.
Reinier takes the map and puts it in his bag.
"Thank you very much." Reinier says and simply starts walking west, I logically follow.
He really left the guy there.
Looking back, Gyian's jaw dropped. I don't think he expected anyone to not give a damn about Litch's house.
" H-Hey !" Gyian screams. "Are you not going to accept the proposal!?" Gyian speaks.
Reinier, who is a few meters away, turns his head towards Gyian and stares at him for a few seconds.
"Go to hell." Reinier speaks soothingly and continues walking.
Gyian is without composure, just standing there, not understanding what had just happened.
I follow Reinier into the dense forest again.
