LEMON
If death were to take me here and now I’d accept it, laying on the table I still hadn’t moved, I wanted to stay here forever and picture him atop me.
He was so devilishly handsome I could die here and now.
Giggling, I kick my legs and hop off the table when I hear a knock at my door again, hoping the count has returned I dashed to the door to see a maid with a tray and a letter.
“You have a letter, Miss.”
She said sweetly, and looking at the Royal seal on the letter my eyes brightened.
Quickly stealing it from the tray, I ran to my desk and opened the letter, it smelled of roses and ink.
Dear Lady Alindell.
I’m formally writing you to ask you to join me for lunch this afternoon, I know it’s sudden but I’d love to enjoy your company before I head back to the capital.
Sincerely, Princess Felderyn.
Hopping around, I was filled with laughter and excitement, calling for the maids, I had to begin getting ready now.
If I were to look finer than a princess it would take hours of getting ready, and it did.
Wearing the finest of my dresses, a gorgeous blue, and decorating myself in golds and pearls, the maids covered me in powders and perfumes.
Looking in the mirror I never knew I could be this pure looking, while I had soft features, nothing compared to the makeup on my skin making me look like an Angel.
After looking at myself in the mirror for quite some time, I downed a swig of wine from a flash I kept in my drawer and then stepped forward.
Today is the day I learn more about Count Trixx, today will be the day I learn why he scowls at the woman, and why he kills because of her.
Taking a carriage into town, I follow the letter to the cafe known as Bellet, almost all the shops had the name Bell in their name which I found rather endearing.
Stepping inside, I found it empty, only the princess sat within, and her maid stood behind her.
I couldn’t help but recognize the maid as the same woman who had delivered my letter which caused a chill to run down my spine.
“Welcome Lady Alindell, I’m so glad you could make it.” She said with a soft smile.
I couldn’t help but feel a sort of unease as I sat down before her, and my heart started to race.
I hadn’t felt fear in quite some time, but it wasn’t a normal fear, it was the fear of Count Trixx not being the one I had to be wary of.
The very thought of this girl killing me instead of his luscious self made me want to gag, I’d rather kill myself than have a brother diddler cut me in two.
“Thank you for inviting me, it’s such an honor.” I falsely proclaimed as I watched the maid serve us cake, not a grand lunch but at least it’s something.
“How could I not invite you, I had never known Fenton to take a woman.”
So that’s what this is about, she wants to know more about me because of him, just what’s your relationship with my hunky murderer?
His cheeks are mine, both of them.
“You call him by his first name, may I ask…are you related?”
Smirking, I hide it under my hand, after all, if she wants to call him his name I’ll have to simply find out why.
“Ah…no, I’ve known him since childhood.” She slowly replied, but her cheeks tinted pink.
She likes him……this rotten princess wants him.
Twirling her hair before me, what I saw was a young lady in love, despite being in a horrid affair with her own sibling, and engaged to him.
My chest felt tight, and anger surged within, I grimaced as I squeezed my fork, and slammed it down into the cake.
“Oh! That's good, if you aren't related I don’t have to worry about you stealing him from me!”
Laughing, I sweetly smile at her, I don’t care anymore, I just wanted to see her horrified.
And that I saw, envy, anger, and embarrassment spread onto her face as she blushed and pressed her lips together.
“H-how dare you say that to me!” She almost screamed with that dainty voice of hers.
“Why can’t I? What woman wouldn’t be afraid for the man she loves?”
I say, bringing a hand to my face, anger pooling in my veins, no, not anger, jealousy.
“And stop calling him Fenton, his name isn't for you to call, save first names for when you’re moaning for your brother.” I say with a bite in my voice.
Her face was red, she trembled, I watched as she bit her lip so hard it bled, if she wasn’t such a spoiled brat I’d feel bad.
And even though I just met her, and know nothing, I want her as far away from my count as possible.
While she may be part of the reason I met him, she’s also part of the reason he hates me, and don’t get me wrong, his hate awakened something within me, I can’t say I’m happy about it.
“Y-you’re just lying, I did my research you and the count are nothing but acquaintances!” She said with a shiver in her voice.
She was riled, angry, ashamed….
Did you want him….?
Did you settle for your brother instead of him?
Do you know how you’ve ruined him?
I could only imagine the pain he felt knowing she had something to do with his Aunt's death, I wonder if he’ll tell me about her one day.
“He doesn’t love you! He’s incapable of love!”
She screamed…..but all I could do was smile.
“Oh poor princess….he just didn’t love you.”
