Floor 35 - Guardian Insurance Company

How would he cope? Jason perused the mountain's of work on his desk.

He may of helped make new memories in this office for Finn. But in the process had made things harder for himself!

Memories of those kisses, were a constant distraction.

How could he get his work done, when all he wanted was to spend more time with Finn!

He grunted in frustration!

Josie stood at the office door- You OK?- She noticed the pile of paperwork, on his desk, hadn't been reduced by much.

He indicated for her come in and sit.

I must admit, I am struggling a bit!

She nodded- Anything I can do?

Truthfully, it isn't the work! I thought it would be harder to adjust! I just have too much on my mind!

Josie smiled knowingly - Finn?

He looked up meeting her gaze. - You know?

Josie sighed. Did he have no idea? She was pretty observant, but it didn't take much to notice the way they looked at each other.

It had only been a week, since they had been shut in that office together. It had only been for about 10mins. Josie had been watching, listening, worried! But when Finn, had left the office with a huge grin on his face, she had been relieved. It had been the total opposite of the day before.

She could only imagine what had gone on in there, but this time she knew it was a positive experience for Finn.

Jason had told her, that they had been friends in school. But she had an inkling that it had been more than friendship then. And was becoming something more now!

I have ways of knowing! - She looked at him slyly, taping the side of her nose!. Then laughed at his puzzled expression.

He is always on my mind!- Jason explained.

That is normal, when you are starting a relationship!

Maybe, but it doesn't get my work done! - he hesitated then added -Besides nothing is official yet!

MMm, I see! Is that the problem?

Jason gave a very deep sigh, and leant heavily on his desk!

I guess that is a yes!

I don't want to rush things! He might not feel the same!

Have you talked about it?

No nothing too serious! We just keep things light! We've only just met again, after 8 years. Things ended badly between us then! I don't think he fully trusts me yet!- Jason blurted out, happy to relieve some of the burden, weighing down his heart.

Oh! - Josie could see his sadness. She didn't have an answer, for him. But she did know a few things about Finn.

You know, I have known Finn for two years!- She started.

This got Jason's attention. - Really?

In the past week, I have seen him happier than in a long time! Ever since, you two met again! - She smiled at Jason.

You have probably figured out, that he gets a lot of attention! And a fair bit of that, is unwanted attention!

Jason nodded.

When he first started working in this building, he was happy, confident and positive, you could see it in the way he dressed and carried himself. - She remembered back, and smiled - He had this collection of colourful waist coats, brights and florals. His own style! He looked like a model! He really turned heads!

But gradually the waist coats disappeared, and so did his smile! - She shook her head sadly! - I have been worried about him!

Jason frowned as he took it in.

I think you, might be the one, who can bring his happiness back!

Josie could see, his mind ticking away, she changed the subject!- Anyway, I think if we work together, we can knock over this pile!- She pointed at his desk.

Oh, Yes! Thank you!

I will grab us some coffee!- she walked to the door.

What had Finn gone through? Jason wondered. He worried! Finn had lost confidence and happiness? Did he live with fear of harassment every day? Is that why he had, stopped wearing his favorite waistcoats? Was he trying to blend in, instead of standing out?

How could Jason, help to bring the old Finn back? He wanted desperately to see that old Finn, again! The one he had had a glimpse of at the School Formal years ago!

Josie returned with Coffee then, and he forced himself to concentrate.
