Achiin takes the scorpion to his room and tells it "Stay right here. Don't move, okay?" The scorpion robot stays despite its subtle attraction to Alexander. He's like some lure that the scorpion is needing to magnetize. It tries its best to resist the urge to move. Achiin goes to the kitchen and looks around. He sees tons of leftover vegetables and decides to take them. Seff comes from the small pantry and sees Achiin with them. "Taking food are we?" Achiin stops for a second and tells Seff that it's for Alexander, since he hasn't eaten today. Seff closes his eyes and lets out a sigh. He then proceeds to give Achiin clearance for his actions and resumes his tart making. Achiin smiles and wanders over to his room and opens a box. It was dusty and well-kept. Tons of tools and mechanical bits and bobs existed within. The scorpion was still where he put it, yet rattling slightly. Achiin looks at it but takes what he needs from the box, giving it a gromit before leaving the room.
Achiin, holding a kerchief of veggies and salted jerky from the pantry and tools from his box, then goes over to Seff's room, opening the door. Alex was laying in the corner, appearing in pain and slightly coughing as his glowy blue blood kept seeping onto the floor. He's thinking about past instances of existence, at least up until his current circumstance. He is also recursing all of the data he scanned. There's a symbol with an x over it as if to say he cannot connect to something. Was it due to the planet's atmosphere? He found a lot of information about terrestrial formations, life, and substance. Elements existed as if to be the basis of everything. It's been almost 84 hours since he was taken in by these people. How are they not afraid of him? Wandering everywhere, bleeding blue. Afraid. Living things become afraid. There's also happiness, sadness, anger. Emotions, they called them. Maybe, he too should have emotion?
Achiin knocks on the doorframe and Alex lifts his head and turns. He stares at Achiin, unsure of what he wants. Why, as well, was this boy so eager to examine him and understand him? Achiin lifts the kerchief he was holding and puts it in front of Alex. Alex stares at the cloth blob and opens it up at the knot. Plants and flesh. Would it really sate his hunger? He's been hungry forever. For a time, the aches in his stomach stop but it never goes away. Should he stop eating? No more pain would come. Alex takes some of the food and looks at Achiin as he's fumbling around with a folding leather satchel. Alex takes a bite of the jerky, holding it in his mouth and crawls over to Achiin to see what he's doing. The boy is startled as Alex looks at him with jerky in his mouth. Alex points at the satchel as Achiin slightly drips nervous sweat. The boy finds the courage to say something, "O-okay… I'll tell you what I'm doing. I thought since you've helped us for so long, you deserve something back. At least something I can give you." Alex's eyes brighten as he sits back and listens. Achiin picks up a small forked wrench and looks at it, "I was eager to understand what makes mechanical beings tick. So I–" He puts the wrench down for a second and puts both his hands on his knees, kneeling calmly. "I wanted to fix something for you. I've studied the… the "insides" of some already dead, already decaying or– I guess I mean rusted tech. I've grown fond of technology and I want to make my own one day. Maybe an animal? Anyway my point is, I wanted to try fixing you." Alex stops chewing, staring with wide eyes. He starts turning around and kneeling forward, pointing at his back. Achiin stares at the damage he took. He looks within the crevice of rendered flesh, the disjointed wiring. There was a very specific and special looking cable that looked like a cylindrical tube with links akin to a spinal column. It was chromatic with blue circlets glowing in-between them. It was like one of them got dislodged and disconnected from the others, like a pack of animals separated during a stampede. Achiin reached for the cable, gripping it in his hand, looking for the plug. The ends of the cable were pronged. Three, very sharp and thin, pointy protrusions. He saw three holes near the nape of his neck, beneath what appeared to be glossy, chromatic, and, what looked like metallic and shifting skin. It appeared as if it were moving... He plugged it in, but as he did, sparks flew and he got knocked back, his arm engraved with blue and burning jagged marks. As he yelled, Seff's eyes widened as he ran into the room. He saw Alex hold Achiin's arm, trying to keep together, his own mind and trying to retain his own consciousness. Alex, his brain agitated from what Achiin had done, his eyes slightly dimmer than usual, speaks. His voice, a kind and gentle Strine man. Slightly refined with a tad bit of grit to it. "They… helped… me…–". Suddenly, he drops to the ground, his eyes dimming and fading to black. His body limp and his blue marks faded, melding with his skin tone. Seff drops to his knees, hearing nothing but the panting of his brother in his arms and the silence of the android named Alex, dead on the floor, speaking his last and yet newest words.
