Ayden turned around and awkwardly said “ I think Arachne is just making a surprise for us. 

Sebastian banged on the door “ Hey! Let us out!” He shouted, Ayden hopped off the bed and threw the doll on the floor, and as she did millions of spiders crawled out of the doll. She screamed and started to stomp on the spiders, Sebastian grabbed a book from his bag and dropped it on the tiny spiders. 

“This is my fault, isn't it? If I was stronger I could have beaten that stupid bunny monster we wouldn't be in this mess..” Ayden whined.

Sebastian walked to her and grabbed her by the arms “ listen to me, this isn’t your fault, it’s that awful spider's fault this has to be her web or something now there has to be a way out.”

“There is a way out.” Ayden pointed to the door “ It seems like our way out is locked.” 

Sebastian fidgeted with his sleeve as he thought for a minute an idea struck

“ Ayden, is there a limit of plants you can control?" he asked

“ Yeah, a couple of meters or so. Why?”

“Do you remember that spider lily that was in the hallway?” 

Ayden gasped “ Yeah! Right next to the creepy hogbat head.”  she shuttered “ Do you think she is planning to turn us into her collection?” 

Sebastian frowned “ I am not sure. “

 He thought about what Charlie and Noah would do in this situation. Probably make some kind of joke about the situation. It was for the best that Charlie wasn’t here.

Ayden tilted her head “ You look sad again Sebastian? “ she hugged him, even the little creature tried to hug him. 

“ I thought about being a stuff collection and I don't like it.” he lied 

Ayden walked to the door with a smile “ well if your idea works you don't have to be a stuffed collection.” 

She placed her hand on the white door and closed her eyes. It seemed for a while nothing was happening but as moments seemed lost her hand started to glow a bright spring green.

 Vines crashed onto the door and pulled the door out of the wall and Ayden turned around “ Humans first.” 

Sebastian walked through the doorway and saw the giant floor plant circulating the hallway. The spider lily was now massive and broke a hole in the ceiling. “ So we climb up the vine?” he questioned Ayden,

She  jumped on the plant “ come on !” she shouted 

But walking towards them was the Arachne. 

She frowned with her fangs dripping red “ How dare you disrespect me in my own house, I give you shelter and you repay me like this?!” she shouted and Ayden replied with a yell” you are trying to eat us you crazy hag.”

 Arachne scoffed “ and I thought your human friend had a language problem. You are not going anywhere darlings, we haven't had dinner yet.” 

Arachne's dress transformed into tiny spiders that bounced onto each other to create a bigger massive spider with not 8 but 18 eyes and 18 legs, it was so round that it could be called cute if it weren't trying to eat you. 

Arachne started to change as well, her torso shifted and she grew longer, her four eyes doubled in mass and she started to look more like a praying mantis than a spider.

Sebastian grabbed the dagger from his bag and took a glance at Ayden who was busy trying to climb the vine, Sebastian ran to her but the huge spider's arm went to hit Sebastian.

 He sliced the leg with his dagger which burned the leg and hundreds of spiders unraveled from the leg and started to scream.

 The gem in the dagger started to glow and sparks of blue Sebastian stared at the dagger in awe, before he noticed a second leg was coming after him, he didn't cut it or dodge it in time and was smacked to the wall. 

Hundreds of tiny spiders raised their fangs to bite Sebastian but Ayden came to the rescue by smashing a huge leaf at the spiders. Sebastian broke free from the spider's grasp. 

The little creature tried to help by smacking the huge spider but got too scared by the spider's hiss and ran to Sebastian and into the yellow bag.

As they were dodging legs and trying to climb up the vine at the same time Sebastian looked for Arachne and noticed that she was just standing there, whispering he also looked at the huge spider who was mimicking the whispers he realized. “ She's controlling it !” 

He looked at the dagger and wondered what he could do in this situation, what would his dad do. He glanced at Ayden who was struggling to control the vines. Save other people that's what he would have done.

That would redeem himself for Noah’s death.

Sebastian smiled at Ayden and ran to Arachne, Ayden yelled out “ Sebastian what are you doing? you're crazy.”

“Yeah, I've been called that before.” 

He raised his dagger and aimed at Arachne’s torso to what might be where her heart is if she had a heart. Arachne stopped mumbling and grinned “ You two are more of a nuisance my half-sister Akumi, she wanted to be a hero and save the others, but let me remind you of this boy. “ 

She grabbed him by both arms and laughed, 

“ Heroes don’t survive in this world.” 

She started to squeeze him tightly and opened up her mouth, Sebastian tried to escape her but her grasp was too tight. He was going straight to her mouth until,

Ayden sent a vine straight towards the spider's head, it was a thorn vine so it had to have come from outside the vine circled Arachne’s head and squeezed her head until it started to bleed, her grip on Sebastian loosened and Sebastian jumped out of her hands, dagger in hand and stabbed her in her head. 

The spider started to crack with blue vanes the spiders started to screech and Ayden grabbed Sebastian with a vine

Together they got out of the house and jumped off the roof. They started to run away from the house as fast as they could.

“ Why did you do that, Sebastian? Are you trying to get yourself killed?” Ayden sobbed 

Sebastian started to speak but the whole house blew up in a blue explosion.
