May was in her bed, thinking about Yoshida. It was 10 pm. "Does Yoshida like me? Maybe I'm nuts..." Her phone started vibrating; she picked it up. "Hullo?"
"It's Aya, your friendly neighbourhood Dagestani. How was your day?" Aya Nokhaev is one of May's few friends.
"It was good. I went to Walmart to get my dad a cannoli. Listen, I met this boy named Yoshida. He's a dreamboat! But I don't if he likes me..." Her tone changed from happy to dreary when she said that.
"He might, and if not, there's plenty more fish in the sea, May. My day has been great. We went to the mosque for service. Then we went to McDonald's."
"McDonald's sounds good right about now. Even though I already ate dinner."
"What was for dinner?" Aya asked.
"I had to-go dim sum," May replied. "The baby back ribs are no joke!"
"Beef ribs?"
"Yeah. The place is called Chen's Dim Sum. You should go there sometime."
"My mom hates Chinese cuisine. I gotta go when my dad takes me. He'll do so though, knowing him. I ordered me a 10-piece McNuggets and a Big Mac. I'm not really a French fry person. I want onion rings though."
"Onion rings sound good. Also hear the TV. What are you watching?" May asked.
"Saint Seiya. It's a vintage anime. I prefer that type of anime over modern stuff. You know, stuff like Yu Yu Hakusho."
May turned on her right side. "I should try it out one day. I'll cut an episode on right now." She cut on her computer and cut on Saint Seiya via watchcartoononline.com.
Aya got up and decided to fix herself a sandwich. "Where's the mustard?" she said to herself, looking in the fridge. "Oh, here it is." She picked up a yellow bottle of mustard and squirted it on the turkey and bread. She picked her phone back up. "Fixing me a sandwich as we speak"
"We should link up one day. You, me, Naho, and Mbali." (Naho and Mbali are her other friends.)
"Go to the mall?" May suggetsed.
"Let's do so," Aya replied. "But anyways, I'm gonna go hit the sack. See ya."
"See you tomorrow," she replied before hanging up.
