'Come on bud, let's make you fat' Clyde chuckled, tickling me slightly. I could hear Eddie laughing, probably about Clyde's comment
I whined, curling deeper to myself. It was nice to offer but, nope. I just want to sleep right now. That's all I want to do. I closed my eyes a little tighter but was shaken awake befor I could slip into my slumber
'Heeey... no, come on. You really, really need to eat. I worked hard to make that food for you.' Eddie said in a pouty voice. That made me finally open my eyes to look up at him
'You made that?' I asked, looking at the divinly looking food. He nodded, chuckling
'Yep, just for you. And Clyde helped' he smiled warmly and I could feel my heart swell in my chest
'Hey, why are you crying?' He cooed, lifting me up to sit in his lap. Clyde slid closer to us, rubbing my back
'Umm... I'm just...' I sniffed. 'I'm very... grateful. Thank you...'
'Aww sweety, don't you worry. You are very, very welcome.' Eddie kissed the top of my head, hugging me tighter in his arms and to his chest. 'You're such a good kid you know that' he more stated a fact than asked a question but I shook my head
'No..'
'What?'
'I'm not a good kid.' I could feel the tears coming again. 'If... if I was a good kid he would let me stay' I said but immediately closed my mouth, internally cursing myself for letting it slip
'Who would let you stay?' Clyde asked, his voice stern but I knew he wasn't using it on me. Still, I couldn't answer. I wouldn't. Even if he or Eddie yelled at me. Something I wish will never happen
'Nothing...' I whispered. I looked to the side and the food caught my eye. -That's it.- 'Umm... Can I eat?'
They both looked at me like I grew a third eye. But then their expression changed
'Of course!' They both said in unison. Eddie put me down on the bed and Clyde placed the food on my lap and turned on the TV
I started eating but very quickly forgot about the food when I saw animals on the screen. Cheethas, Zebras, Elephants and Kudus, Lions, and so many others
'Woah' I whispered in awe. There were chuckles and whispers from the two man who were sitting to my sides. I was so fascinated I forgot their names. I barely even felt when one of them took the spoon from my hand and started feeding me. At least I remembered I needed to chew, swallow, and open my mouth for the next one that followed
No matter how fascinated I was, I couldn't ignore my stomach telling me to stop eating cause it was gonna explode
'No more' I pleaded, plopping to my back. They laughed and Eddie said 'I'm proud of you' and kissed my forehead
I smiled and looked sideways at the plate, a little more than half of it was gone and honestly? I was proud of myself aswell. And so thankfull to them
'You're gonna have stomach in no time' Clyde spoke and I glared at him. 'Woah, what did I do?' He lifted his hands to his sides
'I do have stomach' I pouted, looking at Eddie for help
'He does have stomach' he defended me. 'It just needs to be filled a bit. Is it not?' He asked me, chuckling. I pouted again
Parker is a boy. Just a teenage boy.
But despite being 'just a teenage boy',
he experienced some things in life that
most teenage boys don't. After being kind of
kicked out of his house, he stumbled upon a
restaurant. Staying in the dark alley through
the night might've been scary, but it was the
best decision of his life that lead him to people
who made him feel belong.
