As the police leave taking what the clerk and Benji told them, Benji still needed to get what he came to the store to get, which was medicine for his wife. He asked the clerk, "Do you have painkillers and anything to kill the bacteria of the outbreak?" The clerk replied, "I do have painkillers, but if you or your loved one has the outbreak, I am sorry but there is nothing I can do for you."
Benji frowns and lowers his head in sorrow as he says, "I will take the painkillers then." the clerk sets the painkillers on the counter and says, "It's on the house for what you did for me." Benji shakes his head and replies, "No, please let me pay, I am no hero I just did what was right."
The clerk tilts his head with concern as he asks, "You sure?" Benji smiles and nods. The clerk rings up the painkillers, "That is 3 dollars then." Benji hands him the money and says, "Thank you, and have a good night." he then walks out of the doors and the clerk locks the doors from behind.
Benji finally continues on his way back home, but now he is alert and watching his surroundings. The scene outside the city is the same, but Benji doesn't take any action he quickly walks back home with quickness in his steps, yet being careful about his surroundings.
Despite, the dangers of the city, Benji finally makes it home. he first especially knocks on the door to let his wife know it is him and he is alone.
However, when Benji came home and walked in the door, his face grew pale as he saw his wife lying on the couch and having a hard time breathing. She reaches for him; he rushes to her side as he calls out with panic in his voice, "Cherry!"
Though Benji was by her side, she still was having an attack from the outbreak, causing her to have problems breathing. Benji grips her hand trying to calm her down as he calmly states, "I am here, Cherry!"
Yet, while she was having her outbreak fit she saw Benji kissing her hand and trying his best to hold back tears and saying a small prayer, "Lord, please let, my Cherry get well soon and help us find a cure for this disease."
That is when the T.V. announced, "Ladies and gentlemen! We have good news! A vaccine was invented by a doctor named Vick Tealance. If you or a loved one has the outbreak disease, please call the number on your screen now!"
Benji quickly struggled to the phone, reaching for it and dialing the number on the T.V. once he grasped it. With panic on his face, yet trying to remain calm he reassures her, "Just hold on a little longer, dear, okay." as he stared into Cherry's bloodshot tired eyes that were filled with tears and pain.
Cherry struggling to speak or even move, mustered up enough strength to nod her head and lip out, "Okay." Cherry placed her arm on her forehead feeling the wetness of her sweat. She looked over at Benji with a concerned, but painful expression on her face, as she saw Benji on the phone, pacing back and forth, waiting for someone to pick up on the other end.
She heard him in a muffled tone, "Come on pick up the damn phone!" her forehead started to heat up and the room began to spin she began to feel nauseated and her mind became fuzzy.
Suddenly she heard in another muffled tone, "Hello? Yes, my wife has the Outbreak Disease, we need the vaccine, ASAP!" Then Benji told the people over the phone his address.
Benji takes a deep breath and hangs up the phone as he looks at Cherry with a relief, yet still a concerned expression as he says, "There is still hope for us, honey."
