Read The Shadow Mask :: I need to study at night

(Rehan sits at his study desk and starts reading the book Gogo gave him.)

Rehan says:

"Why are the words in this book so hard? I can’t understand anything. What’s this about needing to be clean and have no odor before a job interview? What kind of book did Gogo give me? It doesn’t say anything about the questions in a job interview. What a useless book. Does anyone even read this?"

(Rehan threw the book away and lay down on the bed.)

(But rehan thought)

No, I have to get a job no matter what. And Grandpa was very happy that I was going to get a job.

(Then rehan picked up the book again and started reading.)

(In the deep of the night, Grandpa got up to go to the washroom. He saw that rehan's room light was on. Grandpa quietly opened the door and saw that rehan was reading a book. Then Grandpa made coffee for rehan, left it in front of his door, and went back to sleep.)

(A little while later, rehan went to the washroom and saw the coffee left there. He picked up the coffee and noticed a note written by Grandpa.)

"Rehan, I’m very happy to see that you’re working hard for your job. Enjoy this coffee and keep studying well. But don’t stay up too late, or you might not be able to get up in the morning."

(Rehan read Grandpa's note and tears welled up in his eyes.)

Rehan says,

"Grandpa really cares about me. I’ll definitely study better."

(Then rehan started studying with renewed enthusiasm.)

(While studying, rehan eventually fell asleep at the table.)

(In the morning, rehan’s sleep was suddenly interrupted.)

"Oh, I have a job interview today. I fell asleep at the table while studying all night. I need to get ready quickly."

( Rehan hurriedly washed his face and went to the dining room for breakfast.)

Grandpa says,

"What's the rush today, rehan? Are you going somewhere?"

Rehan says,

"I have a job interview today, Grandpa. But I woke up late, and there’s no time left."
