House Doran of Thalvaren
House Doran is the ruling family of the Vorandor Empire in Elowyn. They descend from sorcerer lords who arrived in Elowyn during the Age of Legend, before the mists arose, bringing with them steel and powerful magic. Their sigil is a crowned golden gryphon on a field of violet quartered with black.
For centuries, they served as knightly lords under House Durran. Following the death of King Merys IV of House Durran, the noble families of the Verdant Marches fought for control. This conflict culminated in House Doran emerging as lords of the marches.
Over time, House Doran expanded their influence across the Verdant Marches, establishing several cadet branches:
House Brywood of Brywood's Hall
House Greenstone of Greenstone Keep
House Blackthorn of Moontower
House Bane of the Banefort
House Mossveil of Vaseria's Tower
House Redwood of Redgrave
House Tallheart of Embershade
House Rosewood of Rosewood
The descendants of House Doran are known for their distinctive glowing emerald eyes, a feature tracing back to their magical bloodline.
