Blake threw his arms to the skies. "Great! Now look what you did. You got us lost!"
"I did not "got us lost"."
"Then how you call that?" He asked, gesturing with his hands around us.
"Slightly confused..?"
"Seriously?"
I shrugged. "I don't know! You were the one who decided to chase me anyways! And none of this would've happened if you weren't an ass in the first place!"
He gripped the collar of my shirt and pulled me towards him, glaring at me.
"You are being a bully right now" I commented before shoving him away. "Ugh.. I'm hungry." I rubbed my stomach. All this running and flying around made my stomach want food.
"You're not the only one.."
"Instead of fighting, we should search for something to snack on" I commented before starting to walk along a path that hopefully would lead me somewhere good. Blake followed without a word. Great. A little bit of silence would be good.
I would've fly right now but I didn't really have the energy to. Those last few days, we were training our wings a lot in school. They felt pretty sore right now. And with all of the trees above us, it was going to be a lot harder trying to find our way up and out through them.
After a few minutes of walking, I stopped infront of a tree. It had a sweet, familiar scent. I tilted my head up and noticed something orange-reddish between the large leaves.
A breeze of air made me snap out of my haze. But it was too late. Blake had the overly ripe-looking mango in his grip.
"Blake..." I growled. "This is mine."
"Uhh.. No" he scoffed, taking steps back as I walked forward.
"Yes!"
"No!"
"I saw it first!" I screamed.
"I touched it first!"
"I am the reason you knew it was there!"
"That doesn't matter!"
"The see-er the taker!"
"The toucher the keeper!"
I jumped towards him and took a good grip of the mango. He stepped back. And we suddenly found ourselves rolling down the rocky hill.
We rolled for a few long seconds before finally coming to a halt. I landed awfully on my back, crushing my wings. My body hurt like hell, and my left wing like the dephts of it.
But that son ava bird stood to his feet looking pretty much in one piece and barely in any pain. Unlucky me suffered most of the hits and the land.
He waved the mango infront of my face while I had it hard to breath. He had a prideful expression and a grin I wanted to slap off this punchable face. I turned my head away from him and looked above me.
We fell a long way down. I saw blood on one of the rocks and felt warmness in my back and forehead.
"Shit." I groaned as I tried to move, but it was way too painful. So I just laid back down, waiting for it to pass. Hopefully it would soon. I can't just stay here.
But seeing me not moving, Blake reached his leg towards me, poking me with his shoe.
"What are you doing!?" I snapped.
"Just wanted to check if you're alive" he shrugged.
"I am very much alive!"
"Good for you."
A few minutes later, I realized I couldn't hear Blake around me anymore and assumed he left. Good riddance. Although I could use some help right now.
When at least two hours have passed, and he did not show up, I started to worry.
"I hope you're not dead" I mumbled to no one in particular.
At least an hour later, there was the sound of multiple feetsteps. I tried to move but stopped when the pain made me see stars. I was completely disabled right now. And I hated it. I wanted to move, to fly like I always had.
