"I just want to be prepared. Something is wrong and maybe I’m panicking over nothing, but we can't risk it", Raphael tried to explain.
"You already know what I said years ago and I haven't changed my mind" He knew Azazel didn't like talking about this, but no matter what he did he couldn't get rid of this suspicion
"I won't give you something that can completely destroy you, much less over some random premonition. A premonition, mind you, that you're not even sure of” Aze said in frustration.
Raphael stood there dumbfounded at his own inability to properly explain himself. The feeling was there, but the words just wouldn’t come out and it only made for an argument he didn’t plan to start in the first place.
"Look, I really don't want to deal with this right now... I need some air". The demon started to walk away "and some good alcohol" he added under his breath.
"Aze, please-" but before Raph could finish, he was gone.
"I just want you to be safe..." He said to the empty apartment
"You stubborn bas-" Raphael mumbled angrily while sleeping "I just want- hmm" he pouted, trying to stay asleep and then... His eyes opened.
"AZE!!" He shouted in a panic, sitting up slightly from the bed he had been lying this entire time
"Right here, starlight"
The angel turned his head and there he was, his demon, looking at him lovingly while sitting by his side. He looked exhausted.
"Oh my love" he said, tearing up "I'm so sorry".
Raphael hugged Azazel, burying his face in his shoulder.
"Nonsense. I should be the one apologizing" He kissed the top of his head "I should've stayed.”
"We can talk about this later, just hold me."
"Yes, sir."
"I missed you."
"Yeah... Me too. A whole lot" he tightened the hug
