And the slogans? Oh my god. I had to squint to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating.
“Thanathorn, marry me!”
“Thanathorn is my destiny!”
“Oppa Thanathorn, take my heart!”
"Marry me, God of Thailand!"
I swear I nearly choked on air. Who writes this stuff? Do they seriously think he’s gonna look at one of these signs and say, ‘Yes, you! You’re the one I’ve been searching for!’
I blinked. Then blinked again reading those slogans. “What in the world...?”
I chukled right there in my car. It was just... too much.
But the chaos didn’t stop there. As I got closer to the gate, the scene got crazier. There was an actual crowd—no, a mob—outside the school. Fans everywhere, screaming, holding posters, banners, even balloons with Thanathorn’s name on them.
Media vans parked all over the place, reporters holding mics and cameras, talking like they were about to broadcast a national crisis.
And the guards? Oh man, those poor guys looked like they’d been sent straight into a war zone without armor. Trying to hold back this wild mob of screaming fans—respect, honestly. And Thanathorn? The guy hadn’t even shown up yet! Can you imagine what’ll happen when he does?
I rolled down my window, mouth hanging open like an idiot. “What the hell is this?” I muttered to myself, still processing the madness.
At that moment, a girl holding a giant cardboard cutout of Thanathorn ran past my car, shouting, “I LOVE YOU, THANATHORN!” like he could actually hear her.
I just... I couldn’t.
I banged my poor head gently on the steering wheel and groaned. “Am I gonna survive today? Or is this how it ends for me?”
And finally, I made it inside the school. But guess what? Thanathorn’s face was everywhere. Even on the bulletin board where we’re supposed to put actual school notices. Everywhere.
It’s like the guy bought our school and renamed it 'Thanathorn High.'
And those so-called “students”? Don’t let the uniforms fool you. They’re Thanathorn’s crazy fans disguised as teenagers. They were out there taking selfies with the posters, giggling, twitting, posting, chatting like it’s a live update: "OMG, Thanathorn’s coming to OUR SCHOOL!"
I dragged myself to the teacher’s office, half-dead already. And there they were—my co-workers. Busy, running around like headless chickens. But here’s the thing: unlike me, they weren’t tired. Nope, not at all. They were buzzing with excitement, chattering about Thanathorn like he was a god descending from the heavens.
Meanwhile, I slumped into my chair, already exhausted. And not because of work. No, no. Just from looking at those crazy fans and their giant banners outside.
Everyone were sparkling with energy, like they’d just downed five espressos. Me? I was sitting there, thinking, Should I fake a fever and sneak back home? But nah, knowing my luck, I wouldn’t even get permission for that.
Probably, the principal would just glare at me and say, “Win, be responsible.”
Just as I was lost in my grumpy thoughts, I saw him. Tan. And...I lost my mind.
“Ai hia!” I shouted without thinking. Everyone turned to look at us.
Tan froze, blinking, and then smiled awkwardly. “Uh... sorry, sorry, everyone,” we said, bowing slightly.
This guy looked like a human disco ball, dressed in the most overly flashy, bedazzled, sparkly suit I’ve ever seen. The light hit his outfit, it was like the sun exploded in the teacher's office.
Then, Tan came closer, “Why the hell did you shout like that?” he asked.
I pointed at him, my eyes wide in disbelief. “What the fuck are you even wearing, Tan? Are you auditioning for a space opera or what?”
He straightened his overly sparkly blazer and smirked. “Oh, this?” He spun dramatically like he was on a red carpet. “I specially bought this so Thanathorn can notice me... even from faaaaarrrr away!”
I couldn’t help but stare at him, scanning his outfit from top to bottom. I mumbled to myself, “I guess, you will succeed today.”
Seriously, though. Looking at him right now, I’m pretty sure Thanathorn would notice him. Not because of his charm, but because he's literally the only human walking around in what looks like a disco ball on crack.
I mean, he wasn’t just standing out, he was blinding everyone. You could probably see him from space at this point.

And just like that, the moment arrived.
Thanathorn Wachirayan.
A sleek black car rolled up to the school, and I saw some guy—probably his manager—step out and open the door. Then, there he was. Thanathorn Wachirayan himself.
The second he stepped out of that car, people inside and outside the school lost their damn minds. Teachers, students, everyone. It was like a wave of pure chaos hit. I mean, I’ve seen crowds go crazy before, but this? This was something else.
The principal and a few teachers, who had obviously been prepped for this moment, greeted him with flower bouquets like they were welcoming royalty. Hell, some of them looked like they might faint.
This was my first time seeing a celebrity like this up close, and..I could finally understand why those people were losing it. This guy? He’s even more handsome in real life. It’s almost like he stepped out of a magazine—too perfect to be real.
I mean, those posters, they don't do him any justice.
But something felt off.
Thanathorn, he wasn’t smiling or waving like the other celebs. No flashy gestures, no big waves, no exaggerated happiness. He just stepped out. He doesn’t look like he’s enjoying the attention. He looks... exhausted. Just like me.
Then, our eyes met.
And that’s when everything changed.
His expression shifted. It wasn’t the usual charming celebrity smile. It was something different. He wasn’t smiling, but his expression softened. Almost like... like he was surprised to see me here. Shocked, even. And in that moment, everything around us seemed to disappear.
The crowd? The flashing cameras? The chaos? It all faded. It was just him and me, standing there. So far away, yet somehow, it felt like we were the only two people in the world.
My heart thudded louder in my chest with each passing second, but the rest of me stayed frozen. There was a strange pull between us, like an invisible thread connecting us, pulling me toward him even though we were miles apart. His gaze didn’t waver, and neither did mine. Time seemed to slow, stretching and warping around us, making everything else feel distant and unreal.
I didn’t know what to think or say. But in that moment, it felt like the universe had hit pause, just for us.
