So, each update will be accompanied by one of these little context update thingies!
I just thought it was a fun place to share some knowledge and put some of the happenings of the comic into perspective (I also just really wanted to design a cute little catalogue).
As it says, please take care of yourselves when reading the periodicals as they will have information on real historical events which could be upsetting or unpleasant.
I’ll put a CW in the description of each one if anything other than the content warnings for the series comes up too.
Alongside this, I’ve been building a little (rudimentary) database of historical sources that either inform this comic or I think are neat, most are queer, but some are just for contextualising. I’m hoping that as time goes on, I can make it a bigger database filled with lots of information from lots of contributors!

Manchester 1887.
In the shadow of the towering cotton mills, working as a tailor in a city known for its textile industry has proven to be a lucrative career, so far. This should only become more so as the city grows in both size and influence.
However, despite the population growth, Tabitha has been meeting fewer and fewer people ‘like her’. When she first visited the Molly house a great many years ago, she was overwhelmed with the sense of belonging. She finally felt like she’d found her people. Nowadays, her table there is seldom occupied by anyone other than herself and her dear friend, Rosa.
With the increase in raids on Molly houses leading to a decrease in attendance, Tabitha sets out to show the scared members of her community that they’re not alone with help from an unexpected source.
