Read Far from home :: Talking

We dropped our stuff and walked down to the check in. Charlie was still there. And he called out to someone named Barney he said something along the lines of 'Hey Barney better get ready for your shift 'Kay?' I noticed the footsteps went from uneven out of time normal footsteps to just the sound of mine. So either James had stopped or he was just in perfect sync. I turned around. It was the first one. James had stopped at the stair case and was peeking out from behind one of the walls.

"C'mon let's go talk, we'll ask when his shift ends. Does that sound good?"

"No." He whispered.

"What do you mean 'No'?" For some reason I had started to whisper too

so I crept back to the stairs to hear him better.

"What if he's straight or even if he is gay or something what he's not even into me?" Poor dude was super nervous and not gonna lie I would've been too. So obviously I HAD to make this dirty.

"Well I mean judging off the way he looked at you and was stuttering and blushing I reckon he likes you and if I'm right which I probably am, I'm sure it won't take long until he's actually 'In To You'." James stared at me and then we both burst out laughing. I saw Charlie look around super confused and I just started laughing even louder.

After about 5 minutes I had convinced James to come with me to talk. We reached Charlie and James froze up again so I took over.

"Um hey Charlie when does your shift end?" I asked cuz you know I'm just a chill guy.

"Oh uh soon it ended 5 minutes ago but Barney is still getting ready."

"Um well I'm Alex I'm fifteen and this is James he's 17 just like you and we were wondering if you wanted to come around town?"

"H-HEY HOW DO YOU K-KNOW HOW OL-OLD I AM!?!" These guys were as red as blood.

"Uh it says behind you. The thing with your photo name age and number."

"Oh haha right."

Barney guy walked out to the register.

"Okay how can I help you guys. Oi Char you can go now!" Barney called.

"Oh no we're fine thanks we are already signed in."

"Okay bye now." I nodded and dragged James and Charlie to a McDonald's nearby. It was completely empty. Except for the employees obviously. I sat the boys down and they kinda just looked at each other. "Kay guys imma go grab some fries and nuggets with a lemonade for each of you. BRB!" I ran off to order. It didn't take long and the ice-cream machine was working so I got some of them too. It was a lot to carry but I managed to get it to the table and then guess what I found...
