Chapter 4

{blue} i ran as fast as i could but i was too late, i watched as error ran away and the one known as nightmare disappeared into the shadows. I started to freak out, ink and dream trusted me to do something and I'm already failing them. I followed the best I could but he ran into the park which was packed with people. I instantly lost him, I sighed and started to ask people around the area.             

I really needed to find out where he was before nightmare got to him. After a bit of asking I ended up running into inks weird friend so I thought maybe he had seen error.

(blue) “uh hey im one of inks friends and i was wondering if you have seen this sans that is all glitchy, he is um new here and i need to find him” 

He looked very annoyed at something. I wanted to ask what was wrong but I had no time for that. He sighed and pointed behind him.

(fresh) “the brosky up and left so unrad of that dude” 

(blue) “oh i'm sorry about that well thanks for telling me i gotta go get him now”

I waved goodbye then went the way he pointed. It was in no time that I saw him walking along the path. I was about to reach him until something dove into me and pinned me to the ground. It was the same sans as earlier, i think his name was dust. Suddenly ink appeared right next to me and hit dust with his paint brush. Dust went flying into the air and ink jumped up into the air after him then hit him again causing him to hit the ground hard followed by a loud crunch. Dust screamed out in pain as my eyes widened in horror. His arm was on the ground as he sat up and it was completely snapped off. Killer ran in and grabbed dust and they teleported away. I felt tears start to fall from my eyes as I was frozen in horror.

(ink) “oops he left something better clean it up before someone sees” he said while picking up the arm.

Ink tossed the arm into the air and slapped it with his paintbrush the arm disappeared into the paint. With a smile on his face he turned to me, then his eyes switched to a confused look.

(ink) “are you ok blue u look like u just watched someone”

(blue) “h…his ar…ar..arm” i tried to get the words out but it just came out in a stuttering mess.

(ink) “it's fine blue but uh you should go home me and dream have this covered”

I stood up and nodded my head ok then slowly walked to my house. What has just happened was replaying in my head over and over again. How will I even get any sleep if all I can think about is his limb detached from where it's supposed to be. After a 30 minute walk I finally ended up on my front porch but I could not bring the willpower to open the door. The whole way here I was crying by now there aren't any tears left. I zoned out and fell face first into the door, it made a loud thud. From the distance I can hear papy running up to the door. The door swung open and I heard paps yelling to me but I was too far into my thoughts to  respond. Paps picked me up and carried me to my room then he laid me down on my bed. I snapped back to reality and looked up at paps. Just when I thought I had no more tears, they started to flow down my face again. Paps sat down on the bed and hugged me.

(carrot) “bro what happened”

(blue) “ink hurt someone so badly that their arm snapped right off their body” I said while more tears fell from my face.

 (carrot) “im sorry bro, here let me make u some hot chocolate and we can talk about it and see what is really happening” 

Paps left the room, I can hear him walking into the kitchen. I sighed and covered myself up with my blanket.

{ink}

The attackers fled from the scene. I smiled at the way they were rushing away like little bugs. I turned to see if blue was ok, but I was confused as to why blue wasnt celebrating the win. Blue had a look as if he was about to die. I could see the fear in his eyes.

(ink) “are you ok blue u look like u just watched someone”

(blue) “h…his ar…ar..arm” 

(ink) “it's fine blue but uh you should go home me and dream have this covered”

I watched as blue slowly stood up and walked away. I wonder what is wrong with him, wait I feel like I am forgetting something important. I took a look around but saw nothing that would remind me what I have forgotten so I shrugged it off. Blue didn't seem ok so I decided to make sure he gets home safely.

(ink) “ok broomie lets go i hope blue has his tacos” i said as i swiped broomie on the ground and jumped into the ink splat.

I ended up on top of blue’s house, not where i wanted but this will have to do. I walked to the edge of the roof where the front door was located but was stopped by a loud thud. I peaked over the edge and saw carrot picking up blue and carrying him into his house. Carrot hates me so I don't think he would let me in. i sat there for about a minute then decided to go through the window in blueberry’s room. I walked to where his window is located. I can hear carrot and blue talking, I waited till I heard footsteps and a door shut. I jumped down and grabbed the side of the roof and swung into the window then I used a broom to break my fall but it still made a shud. The thud was loud enough to get blueberries attention. He sat up and looked at me, his face was filled with tears. He wiped his face off and looked at me with fear in his eyes. 

(ink) “blue are you ok?” I said softly as I tried to understand why blue was crying.

(blueberry) “no you hurt someone very badly” blue said with a shaky voice 

(ink) “blue he is fine i had to stop him or he would have killed you”

(blue) “well you could have found a better way to stop him, maybe ask him nicely” 

I was about to say something back but was interrupted by the door opening slowly. Blue froze as he watched carrot lean while he was holding a cup full of something hot. I turned and slowly walked towards the open window so I could escape. Carrot thinks im a really bad example for blueberry and i have already been banned from this house, he said the next time he sees me he will “prove a point” whatever that means but i don't want to stick around to see what will happen next. I got to the ledge but forgot to check to see if I was seen but I shrugged it off. I felt something grab my scarf and suddenly I was pulled back, I hit the ground with a loud thud as blue was yelling at carrot to stop. 

(carrot) “I already told you to stay away from my bro, he is traumatized because of you” he said while he held me down.

(ink) “what do you mean i did nothing”

Carrot lifted up his arm and that's when I realized that I needed to find error. Before carrot could throw a punch I melted through the floorboards, I ended up in the living room. I don't like to use my magic to melt myself, when I do it leaves black stains all over my clothes that are very hard to clean out. I heard someone running down the stairs, before they could reach me I pulled out broommie, slapped the end of the brush on the ground and jumped through the ink splat broommie left. I ended up in the doodle sphere, the papers all around the endless golden void, the familiar dripping sound echoing across the empty floating land masses. 

Now let's see where would be error be…. I sat there thinking for a bit, well there is no way he could have left the omega timeline yet, so i guess i'll start there. I can set up a search party then have dream go directly to nightmare's door or is that too risky, sure nightmare himself doesn't kill unless needed but the other aus that call home there won't think twice about turning him into dust. Ugh this stuff is too tricky, let's call up an old friend. I pulled broomie out yet again and swiped the portal I needed to the omega timeline. I looked up to see the x world has yet to fall I wonder why it's taking so long, maybe gaster is keeping it for something. I shrugged the thought away and jumped into the puddle landing in the middle of town. Looks like i will need to fix up some of the buildings here some toriels are helping the hurt souls after the battle few other souls are now patrolling the area looking for the bad sansses.

(fresh) “hey there inky boi” 

I jumped up in the air and swung my brush around. I realized it was fresh but I couldn't stop my brush from hitting him. I closed my eyes as a heard a loud “thonk” oof that sounded painful, i slowly opened my eyes to see fresh holding broomie just an inch away from his face.

(fresh) “whoa there brosky save it for the ball” he said, letting go of broomie and patting off his hat

(ink) “oh my god oh my god i'm so sorry i've kinda been on edge all day, error got away, blue is hurt, this town was attacked” i said while i started pacing back and forth 

(fresh) “all day this dude been up in at me” his glasses switched to [unrad] “met with him a bit ago he chillin in that alley”

I look to where he was facing and I see a faint glow that looks to be behind a pile of boxes. I walked over silently and was about to pull the boxes to reveal error but I was yanked by my scarf then a hand covered my mouth. I looked up to see its fresh looking right down at me, he looked panicked and was shaking his head at me. I look back over to see a strange darkness consume what little glow was behind the boxes. Did he just die? What just happened, I threw fresh off of me then ran to the boxes and threw them to the side there nightmare sat looking right at me.

(nightmare) “now you're too late to get your new toy so i'd leave if i were you and if you even try to attack ill show this town true agony the souls once felt”

(ink) “alright then at least tell me why you want error” i stepped back a bit to see fresh has his bat out i get broomie prepared to

(nightmare) “heh well i can feel the tasty pain he is in as for how he is alive after what you did to his world is impressive” he chuckled 

(fresh) “brosky what he blabbing bout” he whispered as he lowered his bat and focused his attention to me

(ink) “are you gonna believe the shit he spouts out fresh or are you gonna back me up” i yelled back 

Nightmare starts laughing as his tentichels swing into the air and knocked me into fresh, fresh shoved me off of him and poofed away leaving just me and nightmare there in the alley. He kept on laughing as he slowly went through the wall fully disappearing in the dark. I let out a long sigh, i'm so done with this it looks like those murderers got another member im not even gonna try anymore.
