Damian’s eye twitched as he and Allision walked into the woods; however, they had certain four-legged beasts following behind them. "Allison, why is that thing following us?” he asked, annoyed.
Allison blinked as she looked back. “You mean Ren?” she asked as she looked down at the cat as she smiled. “Maybe he wants to join us,” she said as she looked back at her brother, who looked very annoyed.
“I don't need him slowing us down.” Damian said as he glared down at Ren, who just meowed at him.
Damian rolled his eyes as he started back on the hunt. Allison sighed as she looked down at Ren. “It's probably better if you head back to camp. Damian isn't in the best mood right now," she said as she stood up and went to follow after Damian, who was already a few steps ahead. Allison sighed as she followed after her brother.
Ren sat there for a moment as his tail flickered back and forth as he had to think of a plan to impress this prick. That’s when the idea dawned on him: he wanted results, huh, then he would give the prick results. Ren went to go stalk some prey. Ren smirked Hunting wasn't anything new to him; he often had to hunt for his meals sometimes back at the hunt manor so that way Alexander and Calliope wouldn't have to share food with him. He was stalking a very fat rabbit; he had it just where he wanted, then pounced.

Damian didn't think he could be any more annoyed than he already was; he couldn't find any games as he headed back to camp when he saw a certain four-legged annoyance sitting on the path holding a fat rabbit in its mouth. Damian blinked as he stopped Allison bumped into him because he stopped so suddenly as she looked around him and saw Ren sitting there proudly, holding the rabbit in his jaws. "Huh, looks like he did better than us,” she said as she smirked.
Damian rolled his eyes as he walked over to the cat. He stopped in front of the cat. Ren dropped the rabbit in front of Damian as he mewed proudly he looked up at Damian, who picked up the kill and inspected it closely. “Not bad, maybe you're not completely useless,” he said as he knelt in front of Ren, who studied him closely at the cat he slowly held out a free hand to Ren, who nuzzled him and purred as Damian smirked. “You more useful than your master, I suppose, "he said.
Ren looked at him and placed a paw on his nose. Damian stood there in shock.
Allison stood there for a moment, shocked at the scene. With the exception of his wolf, Damian was never this kind. She started to giggle as she watched her brother, who cleared his throat. "Come, Ren, Allison, let us return,” he said as he picked Ren up and placed the cat on his shoulder as he walked back to the camp carrying both the rabbit and the cat.

By the time they got back to camp, Damian saw Ackank sleeping on Alexander’s lap and Alexander napping. It would seem life just kept throwing him surprise after surprise. First, he was now destined to marry a man; second, this man he was supposed to marry fought him at every step; and finally, his wolf, who would only ever sleep on his lap, was now happily cuddling his supposed fiance.
The more he watched the scene, he felt his face heating up. What was wrong with him? Was he running a fever? No, it must be the heat. Yes, that's the heat.
