She responded! She responded of her
own will, like a real person! It’s strange—terribly strange!
How is this even possible? Is it supposed to be this way…? It was just one
phrase “I see”, but it was terrifying and unexpected. I wasn’t the one speaking
for her.
Can two independent personalities exist within a single person?
It’s better not to speak to her or imagine her anymore.

She appears in my line of sight by herself and starts speaking to me—only in my mind. What is this thing? Aren’t imaginary friends supposed to be just a childish amusement?
...Could it be an evil spirit? Or the devil? There are rumors in the village that my mother is a witch… Could it be true? Could her powers have passed on to me? Is that why I can summon such beings?
I so desperately want to ask my mother about this. Maybe she knows something about it? Maybe she’ll just tell me I have an overactive imagination?
But I can’t ask her. I don’t want to see that look of contempt in her eyes again. She always looks at me like that. I don’t want it… So it’s better not to bother her with trifles.
I’ll just keep ignoring it.

I’m scared. It looks like me on the outside, but its mannerisms, words, and expressions are completely different. It’s unsettling.
I try to ignore her, but I can’t stop reacting to her. That’s all it takes for this thing—my fear alone is enough for her to keep reappearing. She says strange things. She knows exactly what gets the strongest reaction from me, so she keeps saying those things.
What should I do? What should I do?
