Fluvaria was a highly presentable city for the most part. It had clean footpaths, appealing architecture, and the right amount of plant life to give the citizens a healthy city to live in. However, like all cities, Fluvaria had that one dingy part that citizens tend to avoid. That’s where Bobby and the rest of the Braw Agents were heading right now. This seemed strange in the minds of Narvy, Hannah, Edward, Rita, and Elsa. But in Bobby’s mind, everything made sense.
Not long after they left HighQ LowC, the Braw Agents arrived at their destination, that being a weapon shop within a rundown alleyway. While the other buildings in Fluvaria stood there elegantly with and without help from the sun’s rays, the weapon shop gave off a creepy vibe when the sun wasn’t shining on it, and when the sun’s rays paid attention to the shop, all it did was expose its ugliness. The weapon shop looked like an amateur sculptor tried to carve a building out of a mouldy piece of fruit.
“Bobby why are we at the weapons shop?” asked Edward, with a great deal of confusion. “Yeah, nobody ever comes here for a reason,” claimed Hannah, as she looked at the shop with disgust. “Because, if we want to stop this mysterious threat, we need weapons in order to fight it,” replied Bobby. “Oh, I get it now,” commented Edward. “This is the type of team that goes off and fights threats.” “Correct,” replied Bobby.
As the Braw Agents walked into the shop, they noticed that the wallpaper was peeling off, the lights were broken and there was mould growing everywhere. There were even a few mice in the shop running around like they were competing in a five-hundred-metre dash. But that’s not what the Braw Agents came here to see. They came here for some weapons and there were plenty of them in sight, from swords to crossbows to hammers. Granted they were very poorly made, but that didn’t matter to Bobby, as long as they had something to fight the mysterious threat with.
Bobby found a double-ended spear on one of the racks and decided he would buy it. After some time, Narvy, Hannah, Edward, Rita, and Elsa all found weapons and went up to the counter with Bobby to pay for them. After they made their purchases, the Braw Agents walked out of the dingy weapon shop and regained a taste of sunlight. “Bobby, why did we have to go there?” asked Narvy, as he held his new crossbow in the crook of his arm. “Because we needed weapons, and that is the only weapon shop in all of Fluvaria,” explained Bobby. “Yeah, but why couldn’t we just build weapons?" asked Narvy. “We wouldn’t have time for that,” explained Bobby. “Some unknown threat is about to attack our city and we just have to use whatever we’ve got in order to fight it.”
After they got out of the horrendous alleyway, the Braw Agents returned to the lively and clean parts of Fluvaria they spent most of their lives in. As Bobby stared into the sky waiting for the threat to come, the others stared at their new weapons in a displeased manner. Is this a hammer or an old tree trunk? Hannah asked herself. “Is my gauntlet worse than yours Rita?” asked Edward. “Mine’s got a missing blade,” replied Rita. “Well, mine’s been scratched to death,” commented Edward. He wasn’t lying, Edwards gauntlet looked like it had been scratched by a cat non-stop for ten years.
Even though it was midday, Bobby had faith that the mysterious threat would come shortly. Even though the newspaper said the threat would come in the afternoon and Bobby’s idea of afternoon was 2 pm to 4 pm. While Bobby waited patiently for the threat to come, Elsa stared at the machete she had bought at the weapon shop and came up with a concept. She thought about a runway show where people would submit the most glamorous weapons instead of glamorous clothes. She didn’t think about what kind of weapons would be there, but she knew for sure her machete would never be eligible for it in a thousand years. Surprisingly enough, this didn’t seem to bother her.
Okay, any minute now, any minute. Those were the words running through Bobby’s mind like the blood through his veins. He was the most eager to fight the threat, but that didn’t mean the other Braw Agents weren’t excited to get into some action. The other Braw Agents stood there and waited alongside Bobby. Suddenly they heard a bang. Bobby became excited as the bang echoed across Fluvaria. “It’s time,” Bobby announced to himself, quietly and confidently.
He ran down the street to find the threat. The other Braw Agents were right behind him. It didn’t take long for the Braw Agents to find the threat. After a three-minute walk, they came face to face with the Maioura. Bobby didn’t know what to expect from the threat, but he was bewildered by the sight of stone statues with glowing red vein-like lines. There were many of them there. Cite was hovering in the sky like a black raven. He soared to the ground and pulled out a thin black sword. There were lots of Maioura warriors behind him, but they were hidden behind the wings of Cite’s jetpack.
“Seriously?” questioned Bobby. “The threat was just a guy with his statue collection?” Bobby had severely underestimated the Maioura. As he confidently grabbed his spear and ran towards Cite, he was thrown at a building like he was a baseball that had been hit by a home run. Bobby was in agony. But not in enough agony to quit fighting. He picked himself off the pavement and attempted to fight one of the foot soldiers. Oddly enough Bobby’s spear felt lighter in his hand after he had been slammed at the building. He soon saw why. As he was fighting one of the foot soldiers, Bobby’s spear snapped in half like a twig. Although it was essentially just a giant twig with a triangular blade on both ends.
The other Braw Agents weren’t having any better luck. Narvy spent about two minutes trying to get his crossbow to work. And when he finally got the crossbow to shoot arrows without them getting stuck, they either shot way too far or just limply fell out of the crossbow. Narvy was about as experienced as Bobby when it came to fighting, since he too got thrown around like a rag doll by the Maioura. Hannah, Edward, Rita, and Elsa were all suffering from the same problems. They had very little combat experience and they couldn’t use their zero-star weapons to defend themselves.
Elsa had always been a sweet girl, but she was never afraid to show her sassy sense of humour, which Bobby picked up from her. Elsa went up to General Slithera and attempted to roast her. “Wow, you must be using some really bad conditioner if your hair’s attracting that many snakes.” Elsa’s roast backfired horribly as she got shot in the arm by one of General Slithera’s arrows, immediately after. Fortunately, it was just a stone arrow with no magic or lethal substance on it. But Elsa still learnt the hard way how not to roast enemies.
Edward and Rita were the most athletic out of all the Braw Agents. Edward constantly played basketball and Rita was a decently skilled gymnast. Both of them also had some experience with martial arts, specifically kick boxing. Even with all those skills, Edward and Rita still got kicked around. The attacks that came from Scorpius were well beyond any fighting abilities Edward and Rita had, even if they merged into one person and attacked him.
Since all the other Braw Agents were doing terribly in the fight, it’s no surprise that Hannah was also getting beaten mercilessly. She was currently fighting Theifblin, and that was going just as well as it sounds. Hannah had pretty much become Theifblin’s ragdoll. She was getting tossed around and thrown at random objects. She even got slammed into a parked car, breaking the window, and falling inside the car. Hannah tried to escape from the car, but it was near impossible to do so. Not because she was injured, but because she was stuck in a highly awkward position. Her feet were dangling out the broken window and it was impossible to navigate the car with all the broken glass in the way.
Fortunately, Bobby found her and helped her get out of her predicament. He quickly cleaned up the broken glass, therefore clearing Hannah’s escape path. The rest was relatively easy. She just sat up and got out through the car door. “That must have been rough,” said Bobby, knowing that the experience probably was. “Yeah, it definitely was,” replied Hannah. Bobby became intrigued as to how Hannah had got stuck in a broken car. “How did you even end up there?” he asked. Hannah replied, “That Goblin thing slammed me into the car so hard that I broke the window and fell inside.”
Just then, they noticed something. Theifblin had run up to a building in the distance and was trying to pry the door open. “Is that the goblin you were talking about?” asked Bobby. “Yeah, but what’s he doing?” answered Hannah. “I don’t know, but we should stop him,” replied Bobby.
