After Raphael bandaged me up, I sat down and tried to avoid the obvious elephant in the room.
"How exactl-"
"I'm not talking about it" I interrupted.
I sighed heavily.
"I'm sorry, Raphael. I don't know how-"
"It's fine, Chalix. Calm down"
Raphael smiled.
"It's gonna be alright" He reassured me.
I smiled back.
Raphael walked over to me and spoke softly:
"When I was younger, my father was part of the angelic guard. He had been involved in bad situations, and that lead to my mother being kidnapped. My father was convinced that they wouldn't do anything to her... But she died that night from blood loss. So, instead of believing in false hope just to stay out of danger, I needed to take action and save you"
He grabbed my hand.
"Thank you for holding on"
He smiled again but his eyes gave off sadness and.. another emotion I couldn't find.
