"I don't see any starlings here" I said.

Raphael coughed to hold back his snicker.

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"I wasn't expecting heavenly visitors, salutations!"

Standing beside me was an androgynous-looking young adult with hair that was navy blue and black and a black suit jacket. They had dark skin and faint freckles.

"I'm Verrian, or Vellian, your faithful up-to-the-task town founder, here to answer any questions you have in store! Except my gender. I'm not going over that again"

Raphael laughed and walked in front of me to talk to Verrian.

"It's a pleasure meeting you. I'm Raphael, and my friend here is Chalix" 

I shoved my way in front of him to talk.

"We're just here to visit this splendid little realm we have here!" I spoke with enthusiasm. 

Raphael tried to shove in front of me but I pushed him back a bit. I looked back and said:

"If you shove in front of me again, I swear to all that is holy, I will harvest your soul and send it into the foggy skies of purgatory"

I turned back to Verrian.

"Well anyhow, I-"

Verrian interrupted me.

"You and I are going to get along great"
