I crouched to pick one up. 

"Chalix, are you actually- did you hear a single word I said back in heaven?"

Raphael said, almost shouting.

"Didn't hear you but LOOK AT THIS BABY SLUG!"

I held a baby slug up to Raphael. 

He gently pushed my hand away.

"Can we please continue?" Raphael said, putting a hand to his forehead.

"But.. the baby slugs..."

"We have no time for baby slugs"

"THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR BABY SLUGS"

"No not no-"

We fell silent.
