Outside of the window, the two pairs of eyes belonged to Ren the cat and Achak the wolf. The two pets had watched the scene that had unfolded before them. The two then started heading off deep into the woods away from prying eyes. There were two blinding lights as Ren and Achak transformed into their true forms. Ren transformed into a short male in his late twenties with a thin frame and short, spiky hair that had turned as white as the moon and glowing golden eyes. Achak was now a tall, muscular man with long, flowing black hair, cold gray eyes, and sunkissed skin. “Why are you taking the form of a black cat? You're the representative of the light goddess,” Achak asked as he glared at Ren, who just smirked. “Because I knew it would piss you off, puppy,” he said as he stuck out his tongue.
Achak growled as he stormed over to Ren towering over him. “Watch your mouth, cat,” he snarled.
Ren just smirked up at him. “Now, now, puppy, we have business to disgust, namely your bastard of a master,” he said coyly.
Achak snarled but backed off. "Fine, and we need to talk about your weakling of a master,” he said as he glared as he sat on the grass along with Ren, who smirked. “So they are going to be a difficult case, huh?” he said as he leaned back on the palms of his hands. Achak sighed as he crossed his arms. "Yes, to say the least,” he said as he looked at Ren. “So how did he pass your test?” Achak asked, wanting to know how a weakling like Alexander was chosen to be the light mage. Ren’s eyes flickered as he smirked in amusement at Achak. "Well, now that's a story,” he said as he began to tell his tale about how he met and chose Alexander as the light mage.
*************** Flash Back 16 years ago ***************
Ren or as he's known in the upper realms Chessur the right hand of the light goddess Theia was sent to the mortal realm to find the next light mage he had taken on the form of a black kitten and while yes he had done this to piss off Achak or Goliath as he was known in the upper realms the right hand of Oberon the god of Darkness when the next time he saw him this go around he also wanted to test to see if he could find someone who had kindness and compassion in there heart black cats were seen as a bad omen in this kingdom so to find someone with true compassion and kindness in there heart then they were worthy however he soon found that would be a tall ordered when people fear something they tend to only see the worst in it. Chessur had people throw trash and rocks and try to light him on fire while he could heal himself. He believed it would help find the light mage. He limped his way into a beautiful garden, where he collapsed in the underbrush or a bush. He heard the voices of two children when he opened his eyes and saw two sisters looking at him. One was looking at him worried, and the other looked at him in disgust. “Poor kitty Bella, we need to get help,” the younger of the two sisters said.
The older one gave a sickly smile. "Alexander, that kitten is a black kitten; it's better off if we kill it; it won't survive anyway; it's too weak; it's better to kill weak things; we would still have a mom if you hadn't been so weak,” the older one said. Chessur had now figured out the older one was called Bella and the younger one was called Alexander. Strange name for a girl, he thought to himself; however, he shook his head at this thought as he watched the scene unfold. The younger one teared up. “I'll take care of him. I know he'll become strong,” Alexander said, and they gently picked up Chessur.
Bella glared “Of course a weakling like you would stick up for this pathetic thing. You’re both bad omens. If you want the stupid thing, then go get it,” she said as she snatched the kitten from Alexander and threw it into the pond. Chessur wanting to see how the scene played out allowed himself to sink. Alexander, now terrified, moved as quickly as he was able to, but he was slow due to his weak constitution. However, he dove into the water and struggled to swim toward the sinking kitten. Chessur watched shocked. This was so weak his mana wouldn't grow properly yet here he was risking his very life to save a cat. ‘This is them, this is the light mage, he thought as the girl no boy managed to get to him and hold onto him tightly as he struggled to swim back to the surface. Chessur smiled inwardly as he used his magic to help the boy get back up to the surface. The boy named Alexander collapsed onto the shore as he coughed up water. Chessur curled up to the boy and nuzzled him as a halo appeared above Alexander's head, then disappeared.
Alexander was surrounded by nannies and butlers not worried about him or his safety no they were scolding him for daring to question Lady Bella choice this was the first time Alexander stood up for himself declaring that he would raise the kitten lord Oswaled just glared and declared that Alexander and the cat deserved each other and that maybe they would be lucky and the cat would lead to his death.

Ren smiled at the memories. “And that's how I chose Alexander; he was so weak yet he risked his own life to save someone else, and since then he has taken care of me and protected me many times," he said proudly.
Akhan rolled his eyes. “Of course, that's how you picked your master, "he said, irritated.
Ren would glare at him. "Well, now, mister expert, how would you pick your master? ”he asked as he crossed his arms.
Akhan smirked. “I’ll tell you exactly how," he said as he grinned.
