Chapter 9.
Cleaning.
Walking tiredly through the halls, Caesar opened the door to his room, took off his boots and began to take off each of the clothes he was carrying; and when he did so he realized that the bandage he had on his arm had started bleeding again, he had probably opened the wound when he tried to enter through the window and when he left through it.
As for the rest, he didn't remember making any other effort, although he would have liked to have hit those guys' faces, he refrained from doing so because he knew that if he had done so, the blow would be seen on some x-ray, so slowly releasing the bandage he went into the bathroom and first opened a steam shower to relax, but he didn't want to get wet yet.
Maybe sweating a little would give him a break from his thoughts... after about 15 minutes sitting there he got bored, turned off the steam shower and pressed the intercom so that one of the employees could prepare him some valerian tea hot enough to taste, but not to burn himself.
One of the employees who was listening to the orders went to the kitchen to prepare it, while he turned on the warm water so that the same water would wash his body and his wounds and take away all his anguish, all his thoughts, including those that might be to come, down the drain.
When he felt someone open the door, he turned off the shower and put a towel around his waist; One of the employees, seeing him come out of the bathroom, avoided looking at him and told him with her head down that she was leaving him the tea he had requested, so he told her to help him heal his wound, so she went to get a first aid kit and then returned to the room.
He had already dressed, but he had not put on a shirt so she could work… with a little cotton on a gauze she began to clean him and carefully clean the wound; then she applied the cream medicine to the surroundings without touching it, to finish by bandaging it, to then put everything away and wish him a good night, to which he simply asked her what her name was before she left and if she wanted to earn some extra money, so she hurried up and said to him: sir, I do not provide services other than cooking or gardening, please do not humiliate me in that way, to which he said: It is not that, go in and close the door.
She did, but she didn't move behind the door, it was her way of protecting herself, so he was clear and frank and told her: my mother is looking for a wife for me, I need you to be aware of the people she is going to visit and the ones who come to visit here.
I know that you are one of the employees that usually accompanies my mother to prepare her drinks, so I need you to take my side for once.
I want to know what future options I have for getting married, I need you to give me all the information of the young and not so young women that my mother visits, if you do I will pay you 50,000 in cash or in a deposit to any part of the world that you want.
To which the woman with that tempting offer said: okay, but let me think about it tonight, if in the morning when you come to breakfast I serve you toast it will be a way of saying no, but if I serve you pancakes with the raspberry jam that you like it is because I have accepted, to which the man said: very well, think about it for the rest of the night... now you can go.
The woman left and the man lay down on the bed begging the woman to accept his proposal, although it was a somewhat childish way of saying yes or no, it was in fact the most correct way of saying it without anyone noticing.
