Whilst it’s called the Academy’s main infirmary, it might as well have been a hospital. The main infirmary doesn’t simply handle a sprain, bruising, colds and the like. They also handle severe cases of any student attending the Academy or their families. Due to this, the main infirmary is also vast in size, in order to accommodate the number of patients.
Uncle Phill, that is, Doctor Philip Broad, is the current director of the infirmary.
Luciel entered the infirmary and went straight to the director’s office on the top floor. It wasn't the first time he'd been there.
Luciel knocked positively on the office door.
“Enter.” Called a voice from within.
Luciel opened the door and entered the room. At the desk was a tall slim man with black framed glasses covering his squinting blue eyes gazing at the glowing mana crystal monitor deep in thought. His long auburn hair was tied back in a high ponytail.
“Good morning, Phill.” Luciel spoke up.
Uncle Phill paused and looked up to where the voice sounded, his squinting eyes lit up and widened.
“Ooh! Good morning, Luciel!” Uncle Phill smiled, then tilted his head. “Wasn't today Phim's day off? I thought you two were going to be sticking to each other all day.”
“That was the original plan.” Luciel's brows knitted. “But an annoying person arrived at the Guild that the other staff can't handle. So, Phim had to go deal with it himself.”
“I see.” Uncle Phill nodded then asked. “Well, seeing as you're already here, shall we do your scheduled check up now instead?”
“That's what I was thinking.” Luciel smiled.
Uncle Phill brought his palms together and spoke. “Let’s go to the usual place then.”
Luciel and Uncle Phill left the director’s office. They walked to the other end of the corridor, where there was a door with a sign above that read ‘Special Examinations & Treatments.’ Uncle Phill opened the door for Luciel and gestured for him to go in first. Upon entering, Luciel saw the examination room that was as neat and tidy as it had always been.
Uncle Phill closed the door. “Stand on the platform in the corner, we’ll use the in-depth scanner this time.”
Luciel nodded as he walked to the corner where a circular platform engraved with runes was embedded in the ground with a matching circle directly above it on the ceiling. At six points surrounding the platform stood sceptres with runes engraved from the base up to the green translucent crystals that were held in place at the tip. Luciel stood in the centre of the circle and waited for Uncle Phill to activate the scanner.
Uncle Phill approached and injected his mana into the nearest sceptre. The green crystal hummed then glowed with a gentle luminescence, a thin thread of green mana sprouted from the crystal and connected to the next sceptre. Once all the sceptres were connected the runes on the circular platform, above and below, lit up at the edges. The light spread until they converged on the centre point where Luciel stood. At this point, Uncle Phill released his hand from the crystal, watching with concentration as tentacle-like mana appeared from all angles of the scanner, wrapping Luciel into a cocoon. This lasted for 10 minutes before Luciel was released from the mana tentacles and the scanner slowly powered down. At the end there was only one crystal left glowing, Uncle Phill removed it from the sceptre with care and proceeded to read the words that had just appeared on its surface.
The more Uncle Phill looked the more his eyes lit up.
“From the results of the scanner, I’d say one last treatment and you’ll be completely healed!” Uncle Phill was ecstatic.
Luciel also smiled brightly. He was relieved to hear that.
“When will the next treatment be done?” Luciel asked.
“We might as well do it now.” Uncle Phill shrugged. “I have everything we need for it right here.”
“Ok, how long will it take?” Luciel nodded.
“Hmm.” Uncle Phill brought one hand to his chin. “Considering it’s hopefully the last treatment, probably about 3 hours.”
“Shall we start then?” Luciel asked.
“Of course.” Uncle Phill replied.
Uncle Phill walked to the wall and pressed a button. After doing so, a portion of the wall gave way and a large tank of a translucent pearl like liquid was revealed, swaying inside.
“This is the potion for the last treatment, and you are to be submerged in it for 3 hours.” Uncle Phill was solemn. “I will warn you, the last treatment is always the most painful, as it also clears out all the toxins and filth accumulated in your body at the same time as healing the damage.”
“Understood.” Luciel nodded.
Luciel stripped off his clothes, revealing his slender figure covered in beautifully carved muscles, as well as many scars from battle. He unravelled his long belt-like tail from his hips, manipulated his mana as he reverted it to its natural appearance and flexed it. He approached the potion tank and climbed the ladder next to it.
“Well, see you in 3 hours.” Luciel smiled as he plunged into the potion with no hesitation.
“See you in 3 hours.” Uncle Phill muttered. “Hopefully this really is the last treatment he has to bear.”

Sera rode her hoverboard at a quick pace, her first class was history. Thanks to Phim she had just about managed to complete the homework, though being last minute she had to use a spell to directly transfer her thoughts into words on the paper.
Arriving, she put away her hoverboard and walked in with the crowd of students through the metal gates.
“Sera!” A cheerful voice sounded from the mass of students.
“Tseli!” Sera responded happily as she spotted the owner of the voice.
They strode forward and hugged each other.
“Good morning!” They simultaneously greeted each other.
Tseli Feal was an Elf and Dwarf mixed race; she had waist length wavy brunette hair with long pointy ears peeking out, her emerald green eyes sparkled in the sunlight. She was a little bit shorter than the average human, and she had magnificent muscles.
Releasing the hug as they giggled, Tseli spoke.
“Seeing as you're so cheerful, I'm guessing you managed to finish all your homework.” Tseli raised her brow as she smirked. “I can see the teacher’s disappointment now.”
Sera grinned. “They probably wouldn’t have expected me to have a Father that knows the assignment subject so well.”
“Oh yeah, I nearly forgot that your Dad was a soldier at the time.” Tseli recalled. “Then again, your Dad has such a serious and cold temperament so it makes sense.”
Sera looked befuddled, How come I don't know that my Papa is serious and cold? Are we talking about the same person who gets giddy from being called ‘Papa’ and sulks if Mama goes out without him!?
“Anyway.” Sera cleared her throat. “Help me stay awake in class this time! I must see the teacher’s expression, or I've done all that homework in vain!”
“Well, I'll try.” Tseli shrugged.
Sera clenched her fist with flames practically bursting from her eyes, I must stay awake! I must confirm that he's really the Chancellor! And if he is? Hehehe. A huge smile spread across Sera's face.
Tseli looked at her friend’s expression, Why do I get the feeling something scary is going to happen today?... Oh well, it'll be fun to watch whatever it is, I guess.
