The family of five ate their breakfast and chatted for a while. Phim glanced at the clock, slumped and sulkily stood up.
“It's time for me to go to work.” Phim sighed.
The three children tilted their heads. Isn't it Dad's day off today? They thought collectively.
“A stupid stubborn guest arrived at the Guild demanding to see me.” Phim mumbled in resentment. “He's from the government, so I have to go.”
The three children looked at him with pity written across their faces.
Phim:.... Let's make sure to travel at snail’s pace.
“The sooner you get there, the sooner you'll come home.” Luciel smiled as he stood up and pecked Phim's cheek.
“What are you going to do today then?” Phim continued to sulk, My floppy snuggle day with my wife. Ruined! QvQ.
“After taking the kids to school, I'll go visit an old friend.” Luciel said.
“Well, enjoy yourself.” Phim pressed his lips onto Luciel’s as he wrapped his arms around his wife's waist.
The three children also stood up and one by one, gave Phim a brief hug.
“Have a good day at work Dad.” Sera said as the Twins nodded.
Phim narrowed his eyes as he looked at Sera. “You too, learn well at school.” Suspicion filled his eyes. “But...don't go learning anything weird.”
“What do you mean ‘weird’? All the subjects at school are normal.” Sera smiled innocently.
Phim sighed. “Well anyway, I'm off, you kids behave and be good at school.” He turned around and plodded to the door and left the house.
As soon as he stepped out of the house, the closer he got to his hover car, the more his face turned from the sulking big bear to a cold and indifferent temperament that had a hint of danger coming from within.
He drove to his place of work. The Adventurer’s Guild.

Back in the house after Phim left, Luciel turned to the kids as he glanced at the clock.
“Well, it's time. Pack your lunch and go get your shoes on.” He instructed.
The three children did as they were told. They grabbed their packed lunches and put them into their magic bags, which could hold a vast amount within due to the space magic cast upon it. Then they went to the shoe rack. Sera put on her two inch pumps; whereas the Twins just put on their hoof protectors, which are basically just shock absorbers in order for them to not damage their hooves. They also placed their normal shoes into their magic bags, just in case they changed back whilst at school.
In the meantime, Luciel cleared the table and placed the dishes into the washer and set it going. Then he also went to the shoe rack and put on his leather shoes, grabbed his mana-keys, and secured his magic bag to his waist. Ready, he turned to the children.
“Got everything?” He asked gently. The three of them nodded. “Let’s go then.”
Considering the Twins current physique, Luciel decided to use the larger hover car and summoned it via the mana-key from their hover station. The four of them boarded the hover car and drove through the premises of their small manor. The three children looked back towards the manor. After knowing that their parents had built it from scratch with their own hands, they felt awestruck despite having lived there since they were born.
The manor looked as if it had been carved out of the trunk of a particularly huge tree. The roots spread out from the manor and continued into the depths of the forest (formerly the woods where Luciel and Phim met). The canopy of the tree rose into the stratosphere invisible from the ground. The manor was just snuggled into the trunk as if it had always existed there and formed naturally. The three children wondered just how their parents did it?!
Reaching the perimeter of their land; they passed through the giant, thick wooden gates that opened as they approached. The gates shut once more after they were through. Interlocking branches spread across the face of the gates, not allowing access to those without permission.
The United Academy of Magic was located at the centre of the city, about a 20-minute drive from their home. Approaching the Academy’s perimeter, you first see its vast wall that encases the entire campus and was enchanted with a strong barrier to protect those within. Over the years the Academy had expanded, and now it was the size of a large town. Students attending ranged from elementary school all the way to university, and each age group had its own campus grounds with separate facilities that are connected by a large roadway that meandered throughout the Academy. In order to get around campus more easily, students often used hoverboards to traverse the Academy.
After their identification was verified at the Academy entrance, Luciel parked in the public parking bays.
“Huh? Mum, how come you're parking? Usually you hover to drop us off.” Rubim tilted his head.
“I've some business to attend to at the Academy today.” Luciel smiled.
Sera straightened her back, Originally Mama was going to spend the whole day with Papa, so why does he suddenly have business at the Academy?... Mama didn't notice anything did he? However, Sera was relieved when she heard Luciel continue to say.
“I figured I should go see how your Uncle Phill is doing at the infirmary.” Luciel told them.
“Ooooh.” Rubim was convinced.
Ada looked at Sera's expression and shook her head, Sera's too naive, even I can tell she's done something, how could Mummy not notice something? Visiting Uncle Phill is definitely something he might as well do as he's already here.
They got out of the hover car and Luciel deactivated it. Reaching into their magic bags, the four of them took out their hoverboards and flew them to the crossroads amongst the students of all shapes and sizes. During the journey, Luciel attracted a lot of attention from the students in the surrounding area. Due to how young Luciel appeared, they wondered who this student was and why they hadn't noticed him before.
Once they reached the crossroads, the four of them paused and said their farewell as they separated and went their own ways.
Luciel’s first destination was the school’s main infirmary.
