Ada and Rubim briskly trotted down the corridor, coming to a halt outside Sera’s bedroom door. As they were about to knock on the door…they heard Sera’s sobbing from the other side. They looked at each other in worry and decided to just open the door.
“Sera!” Ada called.
“What’s wrong!?” Rubim asked.
What came into their sights was Sera burying her head into Phim’s large arms, shoulders trembling with her cries. Phim’s eyes were filled with hopelessness as he patted her on the back in comfort.
“Papa… hic… Papa and Mama!..hic…they hab it sho hard!!” Sera sniffled and choked as she spoke.
With her words, the Twins thought back to the story they just heard from Luciel. Tears started gathering in their eyes and dashed towards Phim with their arms open. Phim was dumbfounded. Phim was confused, ∑(⊙_⊙;) No no no, what? What’s going on!? Sera crying is one thing after I told her the story, but why are these two suddenly pulling out the waterworks!?
As Phim’s thoughts were flying, the Twins landed on top of him and Sera, hugging them as hard as they could, tears streaming down their cheeks. Phim, buried in a pile of crying children looked a part helpless and a part resigned as he tried to sooth them all one by one, kissing them on their foreheads, gently stroking their backs. Phim was at a loss.
“Yeah...hic…Papa and Mama…hic…worked really hard!” Ada sobbed.
“Yeah...hic…but Papa and Mama…hic…were really cool!” Rubim bawled.
Hmm? They called me Papa too? ….Maybe inexplicable crying isn’t so bad if it comes with this perk ( ꈍᴗꈍ).
The pile of children sniffled for a little while. Once they calmed down, they released their hold on Phim. Phim raised his hands and wiped the tears from each of their eyes.
“So? How come you two cried as well?” Phim was truly puzzled.
“Ah, Mum just told us the story of how you met.” Rubim grinned, his voice a bit hoarse from crying.
“No wonder.” Phim raised his brows, talk about coincidence. “Sera was crying for the same reason.”
Sera nodded like a woodpecker.
“By the way, why are you two here?” Sera tilted her head.
“Oh right!” Rubim raised his palm to his forehead.
“Mummy sent us up to fetch you down for breakfast.” Ada awkwardly bit her lip. “We’ve taken so long; he might be getting worried.”
“In that case, you two head down first so your Sister can get ready, I’ll follow in a second.” Phim said.
“Ok, but! You really better not be long this time!” Rubim said as he went out the door.
“Yep, because if you’re too long this time, it’ll be Mummy who comes to get you.” Ada smiled sweetly as she followed after Rubim.
After the Twins had gone further down the corridor, Phim stood up and started to head to the door. Just before leaving, he paused and looked back at Sera. Sera blinked as she tilted her head.
“I forgot to mention it before, but if my guess is not wrong, then the history teacher you said you didn’t know the appearance of.” Phim looked a bit bitter.
“Hm? What about him?” Sera asked.
“Well, he’s probably the Chancellor of the Academy.” Phim stated his guess.
Sera’s eyes practically bulged out in shock. “What!? But that probably means…”
“Yes.” Phim sighed. “He’s probably known from the start that you couldn’t finish your homework, he was intending to tell your Mother from the start. This style of pettiness is just like him.”
Phim’s expression suddenly became stern as looked into Sera’s eyes. “If there is a next time, whatever you do, do not prank the Chancellor again.” Sera felt pressure from the seriousness of Phim’s expression…however.
“That damn old fossil’s pettiness knows no bounds!” Phim looked as if he’d bitten a bug. “That old thing was the founder of the Anti-War Factions! He started with pranking the military any way he could, by himself, which would delay the armies. Which in turn caused him to gather those who were like minded until it expanded into a large force that wasn’t easy to contend with!” He stopped as he looked at Sera’s strange expression between grinning and smirking….and her eyes. “Why are you so excited!?”
Sera’s eyes were sparkling with admiration. “That means he’s the ultimate prankster! How could I not be excited!?” She clicked her tongue and finger at the same time. “No wonder he caught me so easily. He’s the pro of pros!”
Phim narrowed his eyes. “You better not be thinking of learning from him.”
Sera just batted her eyelashes in response.
Phim sighed and slumped as he left her room. “Well, don’t be too long in coming down Sweet Pea, love you.”
Sera replied. “Love you too Papa.”
Phim instantly regained his energy as he strode down the corridor.
After Phim
left, Sera giggled to herself, How could
I miss out on the knowledge of an experienced opponent senior! She hummed to herself happily as
she went to get ready.

Downstairs, Luciel was starting to get somewhat concerned. Now even the Twins are taking a while to come back...should I go take a look? Just as he was thinking that, sounds of voices came from the stairs. Listening closely, it was the chatter of the Twins, they sounded lively enough, so Luciel was relieved.
Once they came down the stairs, Ada and Rubim once again went and had a big hug with Luciel before going to sit at the table.
“Daddy and Sera should be down shortly.” Ada said.
“Sera will take a little bit longer than Dad, because she's not ready yet.” Rubim added.
Luciel raised his brow, Looks like she really did confide in her Father... Luciel narrowed his eyes in suspicion. Noticing his expression, the Twins spoke to explain, lest Luciel misunderstood Sera.
“It was quite coincidental actually, when we got upstairs, Dad had just finished telling Sera how you two met.” Ada explained.
“Uh huh, she was bawling her eyes out over it when we got there.” Rubim stated.
Luciel thought to himself, And from the looks of your red rimmed eyes, so did you two. But he decided not to point it out. But he was convinced why his big bear and Sera were taking so long. Knowing his big bear, he had probably described what happened with more detail, and the story he told would inevitably take time.
After the Twins spoke, Phim’s distinctive footsteps could be heard descending the stairs. As he reached the bottom, he looked at the smiling Luciel, strode forward and encased him in a big bear hug, grinning before releasing him and sitting in his seat at the dining table.
The four of them were sat and waited for Sera before digging into breakfast. And they didn't have to wait too long as it didn't take long for Sera to come flurrying down the stairs. Phim decided to ignore the odd excitement in her eyes. He saw nothing.
Sera practically pounced on Luciel once she got to the table, looping her arms around his neck she leaned down and nudged like a cat against his cheek.
“Good morning, Mama!” Sera said cheerfully as she pecked him on the cheek before loosening her arms, straightening up and sat in her seat that was next to Luciel.
“Good morning, Sera.” Luciel smiled. “You're looking jovial, did something good happen?”
“Yes!” Sera responded cheerfully. “I just found out that my history teacher, the Chancellor, is such an amazing person!”
Phim grimaced, Please don't ruin my appetite, I want to enjoy my wife’s lovingly made breakfast! Only to hear his beloved wife say.
“He is indeed an amazing person.” Luciel nodded. “There's a lot to learn from him, you would do well to pay attention to what he says.”
“Yes! That's my intention!” Sera's mouth stretched from ear to ear as she grinned.
Luciel: ...Looks like she did a prank on the Chancellor and got caught, then learnt from Phim what the Chancellor did during the war. Because she's definitely not talking about learning history with those sparkling eyes of hers. I suppose he is a good one to start learning tricks from.
Phim: No! You don't want to learn from that fossil! Please no! QAQ My little angel’s halo will darken further!
