Karnox went back and questioned Theo, asking if he had followed through on his earlier declaration to overthrow Karnox. Theo confirmed, presenting a list of individuals who had agreed to join the rebellion army. To Karnox's surprise, five guards had pledged loyalty to him and refused to participate. "Ah, what smart loyalists," Karnox remarked. He then stared Theo in the eyes, stating, "Before I kill those who have betrayed me by joining the rebellion...""Do you still want to fight me, Theo?" Karnox challenged. With determination and pure hatred in his eyes, Theo responded, "Yes, I want to kill you!" Karnox glanced at the book he had taken, prompting Theo to question its significance. "Oh, this will make me ten thousand times stronger, but I'll use it after I defeat you!" Karnox boasted.
"Hah!" Theo scoffed. Without hesitation, Theo charged at Karnox before he could assume a fighting stance. "THAT'S IF YOU'RE EVEN ALIVE, BITCH!" he roared as his strike landed with impactful force. Karnox staggered back, astonished. Theo's body emanated a heavy yellow mana and aura, a power Karnox had not witnessed before. "Ah, finally showing me your true strength," Karnox muttered. Underestimating Theo's newfound power, Karnox rushed forward, only to have his face pummeled into a bloody pulp by Theo's relentless assault. Blow after blow landed on his stomach, leaving Karnox reeling in shock. It was the first time Karnox had underestimated Theo's strength, and it cost him dearly. Karnox stood up, his face contorted with frustration. “Damn, do I really need to use my third stage? It's one I rarely use,” he muttered. With a determined glare, he shouted, “Theo, you want to play? Let’s play!”
As Theo charged forward, he watched in disbelief as Karnox’s body and face became enveloped in a boiling, bloody aura. Suddenly, Theo found himself in a crimson-hued realm, the walls drenched in a red, blood-like substance. Karnox's voice echoed around him, “Welcome to my third level stage. There are five stages in total, but you’re now in my domain. My blood is boiling, and though it causes me pain, it also makes me stronger and faster than you could ever imagine.”
Undeterred, Theo launched his attack, and their swords clashed with a resonating clang. Karnox effortlessly shattered Theo’s sword with his palm and began tossing him around as though he were a mere toy. In the midst of the battle, Theo vomited, but he pressed on with renewed vigor. The fight escalated; swords flew and fists pummeled as they engaged in a frenzied exchange. Someone caught sight of the intense clash and only saw a blur of flashing lights, prompting them to flee in fear. Seizing a brief opportunity, Theo attempted a decisive strike at Karnox’s heart. Karnox dodged, but Theo's attack left a shallow cut on his skin, marking the beginning of Karnox's final transformation. Karnox glowed with an eerie blue light, and the mere presence of his final stage exerted an overwhelming pressure that forced Theo to his knees. Struggling to breathe, Theo could barely move under the immense force. Karnox addressed Theo with a cold, resolute tone,
“As promised, I won’t kill you. You’ve had your duel. Now, I will turn my wrath on the soldiers who betrayed me.” Theo, stunned by Karnox's adherence to his promise, could only watch in shock as Karnox prepared to exact his revenge. Karnox had mercilessly slain nearly every soldier who dared to stand against him. As Theo's vision blurred and his eyes began to close, he caught a final, haunting sight. His parents, rushing forward in a desperate attempt to fight Karnox, were struck down by the same brutal force. Unaware that they were Theo's mother and father, Karnox ended their lives with the same ruthless efficiency. This tragic scene was the last thing Theo witnessed before succumbing to unconsciousness.
After Polo easily defeated the monsters, it felt no more challenging than cutting down mere minions. With a sense of pride, he returned to Ravenwood Dale to claim his reward.
Along the way, he reunited with his group, where they exchanged stories of the trials each had faced. Polo offered his condolences to Norvax, apologizing for the loss of his son. As they journeyed together towards Riverwood Dale to collect the bounty, an unsettling sight awaited them. When Polo arrived to present the head of the beast he had slain, he was shocked to see his father, King Larry, standing before him.
Even more alarming was the presence of Karnox, now holding the Book of Souls, his power fully realized. As Karnox turned to face Polo, so did King Larry, and the guards immediately rose to attention, knowing full well that these three could unleash a conflict that would engulf the world in war. King Larry glared at Karnox. "What brings you here, monster?"
Karnox laughed, a cruel sound that echoed through the hall. "Monster? Me?! Hahahahaha! You know damn well why I’ve come. I’ve collected the souls' power from the book, and now, I have enough to defeat you." King Larry stood tall. "I don’t think so." Karnox smirked. "Then let’s test it, shall we?" His body charged with a red energy so intense that the guards braced themselves, raising bows, arrows, and advanced weapons. Karnox taunted the king. "If you’re not a coward, tell them to stand down and fight me like a man." King Larry commanded, "Everyone, retreat!" When they hesitated, he roared, "I SAID RETREAT!" Reluctantly, the guards obeyed. The king then faced Karnox. "Are you sure about this?" Karnox grinned. "Hell yeah!" "Fine, it was your choice," King Larry said, drawing his sword.
The energy that emanated from him was so powerful it caused everyone, except Polo and Karnox, to collapse. Even Karnox felt the weight of it, realizing that King Larry's power slightly surpassed his own.“What the…?” Karnox thought. “Even with all this power, his aura is still stronger than mine… but only by a little. Damn it!” King Larry calmly said, "Shall we begin?" Polo, standing by, impatiently waiting to collect his bounty, interrupted. "Yo, guys! Give me my money. Here's the head," he declared, dropping the beast's head at their feet. Karnox sneered. "Oh, Polo… You young fool. Hahaha! What a joke! A soothsayer once told me that someone matching your description would be the one to end me. What a joke!" Furious, Polo activated his upgraded system and drew his sword. "You think I can't take you both on at once?" he shouted.
At that moment, the Eternals of the universe appeared, along with Death and the Demon Lords. They watched from afar, unseen by all except Polo, who could sense their presence. The tension mounted as the three warriors charged at each other, swords drawn. Karnox slashed first, sending a massive red laser-like energy towards King Larry. The king countered with a blue energy blast in the shape of a sphere. Polo, not to be outdone, unleashed a raging orange-red bull of energy. As the three forces hurtled towards each other, the inevitable clash seemed destined to shake the very earth. But then—Boom! In a flash, all three were teleported away, along with Polo’s team and King Larry, leaving the battlefield eerily silent.
Death appeared before Polo's crew—Ava, Norvax, and Harry—his presence commanding their immediate attention. His voice, cold and stern, echoed through the air as he addressed them. "Tell your friend Polo," he began, "that I had to intervene directly. I teleported him, you, and the others, along with the impact of the combined attacks, to different locations. The devastation you just witnessed up there in the sky—that explosion—was the result of those attacks. Had I not acted, it would have obliterated this entire planet. Hell, it would have even reached galaxies beyond. The Eternals are up there now, ensuring that the destruction doesn't spread further." Norvax, visibly frustrated, scowled. "So where's Polo? Why isn't he here with us? Asked Norvax Death Replied: I'm done with him—he's so damn annoying. Seriously, what the hell was that? He sees two deadly forces about to clash, like Russia and the USA, and he decides to jump in? Is he nuts? I know our endgame is to take down Karnox, but not like this. Tell him that when you see him." His voice softened as he added, "Oh, and... I'm sorry about your son, Norvax." As Death turned to leave, Norvax called out, "Wait! Can I see him?" Pausing for a moment, Death looked back, his form beginning to fade into thin air. "You will see him again," he said, before vanishing completely. As death faded from existence, the Eternals returned.
Norvax, curious about their power, asked, "How strong is King Larry?" One of the Eternals replied, "Larry is one of the ancient kings who has consumed the Pomegranate of the Sages, an ancient fruit that appears once every 1,200 years. Only those blessed with extreme luck can find and eat it, gaining unimaginable power." Intrigued, Ava asked, "So, who's stronger—King Larry or you?"The Eternals answered, "Larry is stronger than us." Norvax then inquired, "Is he stronger than Death itself?"The Eternals chuckled and replied, "Nothing is stronger than that force, except maybe another archangel, and God. Norvax, growing more curious, asked, "What is this spell called 'Soul Purging'?" The Eternals' laughter ceased, their expressions turning serious. "Do not ever mention that name," they warned. "That spell corrupts all who seek it.""But I've heard it grants incredible power," Norvax argued, "power that could help us defeat Karnox." The Eternals, now alarmed, demanded, "Where did you learn of it? Tell us!" Norvax remained silent, unwilling to reveal his intentions. In a raised voice, the Eternals warned him, "Norvax, do not meddle with that power! It will destroy you. Forget about it—discard the book or wherever you found it. Farewell for now."
