Chapter 5.
Report.
Just after Julieta left, Brandon looked at the starry sky.
The night was beautiful and brought him a nice inspiration, so he didn't hesitate for a second to take his cell phone and send a message to Adriana asking her to get him a report on a girl named Julieta Collins, 26 years old.
Adriana answered the message saying that no later than tomorrow afternoon the report would be directly in his hands and ending by wishing him a happy night.
¿What were Brandon's real thoughts about why he wanted to find out about Julieta's life? ¿Did he intend to give her a job as a maid, as a secretary or as a little assistant? ¿Or would he simply pay her to listen to the advice of a lonely old man?
Everything was possible in this life, and in a modern society that has technology at its disposal, any job can be pure gold, but it was not only Julieta's situation, but also Brandon had felt comfortable talking to a young woman, even much younger than his problematic son Norman.
That conversation that began as a stranger made him feel almost as if he were a relative of hers; as if somehow he was talking to a daughter or a granddaughter, this could be the answer to the prayers he had been asking his deceased wife.
Anything or encounter can be taken as a sign for good or bad, even dreams themselves... looking at some photos on his phone he let out a smile when he saw his wife hugging Norman when he was little, perhaps Brandon internally longed not only for a daughter-in-law but to meet a grandson.
It was possible that at 62 years old what he wanted was to be a child again, to play and teach him to walk, but due to the amount of scandals that Norman had on top of him, that grandson seemed nothing more than an illusion that lived on Saturn, so following his path he went home to sleep.
His subconscious would surely be reliving the conversation with Julieta Collins and trying to match her next to Norman, but the image was not pleasant, she was a God's bread, a calm and sensitive woman, the opposite of Norman, who was used to excesses and his eccentric life, so putting them both in the same image was the most random thing that his dreams could interpret, even within the dream a slightly mocking laugh was heard that confessed that neither of them can integrate into the other's world because one of them lacks nothing, but the other even needs to be reborn, leaving the epiphany that not everyone is compatible, not even in the world of dreams, but Brandon could not stay like that and in his dream he tried to see the qualities from both sides and expose the faceless people who lived there, because they could complement each other.
That is, until Adriana, his assistant, appeared in the dream telling him that Norman had killed Julieta in a fit of rage... that made Brandon feel inside the dream that he had lost something very valuable and his teeth began to fall out.
At that moment the man woke up and let out a sigh, looked at the clock and it was barely 4 in the morning, it had all been a dream, Julieta was alive and Norman had not killed her and he had not even met her.
¿Could this be some kind of omen?, was what he asked himself, because he had heard when he was a child from his parents, that if you dream that your teeth fall out it is because someone close to you or even your own family will die, so that in the face of that memory, the fear did not let him rest, so, getting up he poured water in the bathroom behind his ears to try to calm down a little; And telling himself that it had only been a dream, the man went to the kitchen and had a cup of tea, but afraid of continuing the same dream, he preferred to turn on the television and wait for dawn to come, listening to the morning headlines.
