Kaine lay there awkwardly as he felt Zavier’s slowed breathing on the nape of his neck. He shuddered at the feeling, but he wasn’t quite sure why. He waved the thought away and fell asleep after a while.
When Kaine woke up, Zavier still had his leg snaked around his own, however, he noticed that he was actually awake now. Kaine froze and quickly closed his eyes, trying to act asleep. He heard a low chuckle and the bed beside him shifted.
“Trying to pretend you’re asleep now?” Zavier questioned, pulling Kaine from his side onto his back, Kaine kept his eyes closed and his body still. He decided that now that he was pretending, he’d have to keep the act up until Zavier leaves him alone.
The bed moved beside him and Kaine felt Zavier begin to get up. But instead of getting off the bed, he got up on top of Kaine’s lap. Kaine bit his tongue as Zavier straddled him, a hand slowly exploring his face. Kaine sucked his breath in and his eyes fluttered open, drinking in Zavier's playful, teal eyes and bright, teasing smile.
He could tell based on his face that Zavier thought he had won. Zavier tousled his hair awkwardly as he sat on top of Kaine, he slowly began to climb off when Kaine pulled him back. Kaine smirked, resting his hands on Zavier’s thighs.
Kaine sat up and arranged his pillows so that he could lean against the headboard comfortably. He pulled Zavier with him and kept at least one hand on him at all times. Ever since he’d seen Kaine, he had wanted to have him in his grasp. And now that Zavier had been so kind as to offer himself, he was not letting that chance go.
