Blood trickled down her face, as she looked up into the dead, mystic eyes of the shadow-born wolf, as if he was made of pure evil and darkness.
Yet for some reason she felt like she knew him, as if they were connected.
Her ears rang, grass wilted around her and a voice shot through the darkness.
“Run! Run to the door, Baaaah!” The sheep yelled, standing in front of her, all the sheep flocking and pushing her back.
“But…you’ll be eaten…” The red-tinged girl said, when a ram pushed her back, closer to the door.
“But you won’t be….now….run little red!” The wolf howled as one by one, the sheep were slaughtered, the wool soaking in blood.
The ram burst open the door as sky appeared, a beautiful blue, one that almost called for her…
Wait….why are we running again….? Why was I…
“Goodbye…Red….” Hitting her through the door, the Ram smiled as the wolf screamed and dug his claws through the ram, her eyes widening but before she could scream, she fell into the water which was the sky.
Sinking, it was so strange…why was she there…?
Well, it probably didn’t matter….hopefully didn't matter….
It was comforting in the water….
The water rushed around her, and soon she was in a current of soft lights and blood, thick blood that smelled fresh.
Her eyes sprang open as she was pulled from the carcass of a wolf.
“H-hey!” A voice said, but all she could do was look at the wolf corpse beneath her as she was pulled out by her arm.
“Are you alright?” The voice said again, turning her head, her eyes lit up.
He had eyes the color of water, hair white as wool, fur-covered skin, strong twisted horns, and most importantly, fluffy sheep ears!
Sheepie ears and ahhhhh! He’s so fluffy and soft!!
Almost bouncing in place, her eyes turned to pure delight as she reached towards him to stop when she saw the blood on her hands.
“Where…..” She was about to say when he turned his head towards a howl in the distance.
“Pardon me! But we need to go!” Mister Ram said as he hoisted her onto his shoulders and began running, jumping as he went.
He’s hopping! Like a little ram! Giggling, her eyes sparkled as a wolf burst from the foliage.
Splattered in blood, its black coat was like that of thorns, its body covered in arrows as foam dripped from its mouth.
Like her own, it’s eyes glowed a dark red that shined in the night of the forest.
Is the wolf trying to hurt Mister Ram….?
She thought to herself, as her features darkened.
“Come in! Anyone?! I found a survivor!” Mister Ram spoke into this strange little device that looked like a block of wood that was carved.
Little voices came from the wood, telling him where to go, but the wolf jumped.
Gasping for air, he held his breath and jumped as well, into the trees they fled, and quietly he put her down.
“Sorry about that, my name is Quentin by the way! I was so surprised to see you- oh-“ He said, as she promptly latched onto his ears, petting them.
“You’re so soft!!” She said, as this look of concern appeared on his face.
Did she hit her head?! Is she traumatized?!
She couldn't have been much younger than him, why was she acting like some child!?
Their moment was promptly interrupted as the wolf jumped from above, both their heads turning to face it.
I can’t get her away in time!! I need to-
He thought, when in a mere second she stepped forward, springing as she grabbed its iris, her fingers digging in as the eye popped, in a swift moment she pulled it out of its head, the wolf yelping.
And then the other, tears spraying as the wolf, as large as a trolley, fell to the ground below them, yelping, dropping the eyes, her hands now slimy with wolf tears, the girl stared coldly at it, struggling on the ground.
“There we go! It’s gone now, Mister Ram!” She said with a smile brimming with joy and satisfaction.
“What in the woods was that?!”
