Chapter 11.
Is it cold or hot?
Suddenly when they woke up, both had a huge headache and realized that they were inside that mansion, immediately, Emily remembered all the events of the previous night, but was quickly able to locate Glades without feeling ashamed, she had really witnessed the way Chester blew a person's brains out, while she was trying to have sex with said person, that thought was interrupted when Glades asked her, Emily: what happened to me? Why don't I have clothes on and I stink like a 5th category canteen? So Emily answered: maybe it's due to the fact that you were really in a seedy cabaret and you lost your normal senses, but Glades went to get up and a stab of pain invaded her body making her fall again, all her private areas burned full of pain and seeing Emily she asked her why her pain, so Emily told her: don't you remember that while I was trying to get us out of that damn cabaret you were busy milking two huge devices in the middle of the cabaret with a bunch of complete strangers and who knows if it was really two Glades?
At that confession, Glades was petrified, because she didn't remember anything of what Emily had told her, she only remembered nothing more than when they came in and offered her said beer, but she really felt bad... how could she have lost her mind like that and let herself be touched in such intimate ways by a group of complete strangers?... My God, guilt was completely invading her, she couldn't look Emily in the eyes because she felt that her eyes should already be red and on the verge of tears; However, the man who had tormented her from the beginning appeared, that is, Chester, who upon seeing them smiled and said: I see that the sleeping beauties have awakened, but I must congratulate you Emily, you have managed to find the woman who was hiding under a man's armor, that is, the man without balls... and you have brought him here and you have not forgotten your partner, however, Glades, you have lost consciousness, for which both of you will be punished, but be careful, you cannot continue the journey without clothes, for which I leave you here a couple of outfits for both of you to dress and continue... you must follow the green signs, because they will take you to the true exit, until then my precious ones see you soon, after saying that, Chester left the outfits on the floor and went down the stairs, disappearing from her sight completely, something that was pleasing to both of you, since they felt uncomfortable, defenseless and vulnerable with practically no clothes. Glades walked over to where they had left the outfits and when she opened them she noticed that they were nothing more than two pajamas made of shorts and a plain flannel shirt and in her size, so she gave one to Emily and put the other on… once they were dressed, the lights went out, but once they stood up and realized that they didn’t have shoes, they felt afraid to walk in that place, because they didn’t know what madness Chester could be thinking and plotting.
Suddenly, the voice of their executioner was heard, who began to tell them that for every wrong step they took, they would have to answer a question… Glades protested saying that it was a psychotic act and that it was best for him to decide whether to let them live or die, because they couldn’t be with the uncertainty of living in a middle point like they were doing without knowing what their next mistake would be, it was something truly terrifying.
To which Chester answered through the speakers: It is none of your business what fate I have for each of us, you just need to keep breathing and nothing more.
Glades was about to answer him, but Emily squeezed his hand causing the latter to silence his words and not provoke greater anger.
Suddenly a long green line appeared and they didn’t think twice going directly to where that green line guided them, once there, the first question fell, Between heaven and hell, what is the paradigm that separates them? They have 40 seconds to answer, Glades didn’t think twice and shouted a million years separate them, that’s why heaven is cold and hell is hot, Chester’s laughter was heard over the speakers saying: you have a second chance, but hurry up and answer correctly because all that’s left are fifteen seconds, Glades was about to answer anything that came to mind, but Emily stopped her and said: what separates heaven and hell is not the distance, it’s the number of people who enter either of both places… Only the privileged enter heaven, but everyone enters hell, that’s why hell is on earth because above is below. Chester's voice immediately rang out, saying: who would have thought... blondes tend to be naturally stupid, but your answer has pleased me and that's why they can continue.
As I ranand at the next green line they felt something breaking the soles of their feet as if it were an itch, but that didn't matter to them and they continued until they reached the green line, then hearing the following question: have we ever crossed the border of the earth? Glades answered no, that it has all been a simulation of the different governments to make us believe that we have really advanced as people when in fact we have not.
Chester's voice resonated saying very well my precious, it seems that both of you have been very attentive to history classes in high school.
They immediately ran to the next green light, but when they reached said light, it had changed to red and then the sadistic and strong Machiavellian laugh of Chester was heard who asked them: what do you prefer? Hot or cold? Having that question, they both looked at each other but didn't know what to answer, because they didn't know what their reaction would be, if it was just a question or if it was more of a consultation, so they both answered hot, we preferred hot, then the floor under their feet opened and they fell into a room that was practically fifty degrees hot, so they immediately began to sweat, the air was escaping from their lungs and they felt like their skin was beginning to cook, their hair was beginning to scorch, then Chester's voice was heard again, this time asking: is it at room temperature or do you prefer it hotter? Then with their little strength they both said that they were cooking alive!!!, while both of their eyelashes and eyebrows fell from their faces... and then they begged him on their knees in said room to get them out of that place; Chester's voice was immediately heard saying: if you manage to cross the door you will leave this room alive, if not, you can feed the pigs tonight... Both of them stood up and ran along the burning walls as they tried to reach the door at the other end, but each step they took was agonizing, the heat seemed to increase more and more, their muscles were hard, as they were practically cooking; however, once they reached where the door was, they touched the knob and it was much hotter than the room, but that did not stop Emily from risking putting her hand and turning it with the little strength she had said knob, leaving part of her skin stuck to it, as they left that oven that had nothing of a room.
